Wow - absolutely everything was wrong. Hadn't been here in years, although had a vague recollection the margaritas and food were good. I guess when it's dark outside you don't notice how dirty and tired the place is. Stairs to washrooms in basement are dangerous to start with. The rubber matting on the stairs is buckling and washroom feels somewhat... More

Great Local restaurant, that anyone can go to. Mexican food, some with their own twist on what we Locals are used to, but really good. Great flavors, reasonable prices, and I have always had great service there. I have been going since they opened their doors and had plastic chairs and tables.and try to get there several times a year.... More

I really enjoyed my visit to this quaint Mexican restaurant in the heart of midtown Toronto. The atmosphere was pleasant and the food tasty. I would definitely return.

We've eaten at this neighbourhood Mexican restaurant many times and my wife has gone several times with family. The menu is varied and everything we've had has been great. The food is consistently very good, service is always pleasant. Would highly recommend.

Really good homemade mexican food. I had the shrimp and cactus and it was very good. Would go back. Has both a front and rear patio.

The Tacos are fabulous. Nice welcoming vibe as it is family run. MUST START with queso fundito...and finish with churros!

I went here for dinner on a Wednesday night. It wasn't that packed. The staff are friendly and you definitely feel that this place is owned by family and friends. I ordered the chicken enchilada with mole. It was good. Maybe a tad bland but I was ok with that. I added some hot sauce and that made it delicious.

This isn't an upscale restaurant by any means but it makes up for that in charm. The food is delicious and inexpensive with a fun atmosphere. Relaxing place were you can check the pretension at the door and enjoy some good Mexican food!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
