Enjoyed a lovely brunch with my sister. Great food, decent prices, friendly service and relaxing atmosphere. Especially loved the green wall and waterfall.

Very nice atmosphere. The service started well as the restaurant got busier wait staff not as attentive. My guest got their meal before me, my meal was good and I would say price point would have been on par with other higher end restaurants. I would try it again.

We had dinner here and were very impressed. The two appetizer (lamb meatballs and lobster bites) were both delicious. The two entrees were Duck and Beef Tenderloin. Both were prepared perfectly to order and the only small thing was that the duck and beef both could have been a bit hotter when brought to us. The desserts were fine, but... More

Stopped here for brunch. Great choices for food presented very well. The cheese selection was great. Plenty of good drink options also.

I really enjoy coming here for special occasions and had booked this for a lunch on the weekend to celebrate a birthday. What I did not expect was that they served brunchy type of foods. I prefer the menu on the weekdays as I could make the brunch foods at home. Slightly disappointed but the ambience was still lovely.

After a great morning there were 4 of us that headed out for lunch (reservations made a week ago). The staff were attentive and incredibly festive, so we felt that little extra holiday vibe. Our waitress was fantastic and smiled while she made small talk as well as answering questions about the menu. Settled on the chef special soup which... More

Good Food and perfect Yorkville location. Had Nova Scotia lobster bites for appetizer and they were delicious. Oysters were good as well with the perfect combination of the garnishes. Unfortunately, they did not have the entree was looking forward to, so I decided to get the linguine with Shrimp which was great as well. Overall good food and great service.

Company Christmas party was held in one of the private rooms. Great atmosphere and service! Appetizers were extraordinary and lots of them. Dinner was perfect and although a set menu, the waiter had my steak cooked special (Pittsburgh Rare). My wife didn't want either of the two choices, but the waiter still offered to serve her sorbet.

It is a restaurant of understated quality. Food is always beautiful prepared and timely presented when you are ready for it. Superb and attentive service from the whole staff and especially the wait staff. Can't say enough about Sassafraz. I dine there almost weekly and find it reliable, consistently great and welcoming.

booked several weeks in advance of our Toronto visit - shortly afterwards received an email 'bumping' us to the cafe area because they'd now sold the restaurant for a private event - bit annoying and I was a bit nervous about sticking with them but |I'm glad I did - the best dinner we've had in Toronto - they are... Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
