My girlfriend and I visited last Valentines day '16, so quite a ways back. But we loved it! This is truly one of the better restaurants in the city. The service is fantastic, the decor is simple yet elegant, and the views of the lake and city are stunning. We were definitely impressed upon being seated, and it only got... More

You know the feeling. You have a wonderful experience at a restaurant more than 20 years ago. You'd love to go back, but are afraid it just won't be the same. Well, I held my breath and made a dinner reservation to celebrate our anniversary. I am so happy to report that Scaramouche is still a wonderful restaurant with innovative... More

My husband took me out to what he thought would be a fancy meal for my birthday on Good Friday last week. The dining experience was disappointing, but turned even more unpleasant as I ended up getting food poisoning from the meal. Not what we expected from a $290 meal for two (which included only $24 of alcohol since my... More

Disappointing requested a window table for our 25th wedding anniversary. We were told they were all reserved. 1.5 hour dinner and watched two window tables go empty for the evening.

This was our second year having dinner here to celebrate Easter with our family. What happened?! The appetizer fish based soup was an ugly light yellow/ brown, thick and had chunks of croutons submersed in it. One person who ordered it couldn't even eat it. Color and consistency of food is a big part of enjoying a dish. My tuna... More

This restaurant has it all. Complimentary valet, beautiful views, superb staff, and excellent food. The Scaramouche Restaurant provides its patrons with a true fine dining experience. It is pricey, but with the exceptional service, high end ambience and dishes to satisfy the most sophisticated of paletes, I must say it was worth every penny. I highly recommend the roast duck... My wife and I recently returned to Scaramouche to celebrate our 35th anniversary. Scaramouche for us is always reserved for special occasions and it never disappoints. The food, the service and the atmosphere continue to delight year after year.

Scaramouche is my favorite restaurant in the city. It never disappoints. I had recommended this venue for a business meeting and it was well appreciated by all. We sampled many appetizers, of which my favorite were the octopus and ravioli. Their scallops for main were delicious. The coconut cream pie is by far their best desert. I would highly recommend... Had a great dinner Friday night at Scaramouche. Upon arrival, you have the valet park your car, coat check inside and having reservations made a difference. We were whisked away to our table next to the window that offer a great view of the toronto skyline. Appetizer: artichoke soup with mushrooms topping with crème fraîche was smooth and delicious. Main... More

Scaramouche has long been celebrated by customers and critics for its unwavering commitment to making each dining experience a memorable one. Chef/owner Keith Froggett's sophisticated cuisine is presented simply with care and attention to detail. The service underscores that philosophy: unobtrusive and respectful. The restaurant affords a stunning nighttime vista of the downtown Toronto skyline. These components and more make Scaramouche the singular destination it is. And the reason that the restaurant is consistently ranked as one of the city's best for more than three decades.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
