We have been here 5 times now and every time it never disappoints. Standard of food is always the same(excellent) great ambience and great staff. Come for their 5 dollar pound of wings deal. They are amazing and the hurricane hot sauce just adds to...More

Visited for dinner on a busy Saturday. Lively atmosphere with funky, yet not over-the-top New Orleans appointment. I really feel like I'm stepping into a local restaurant in the Marigny or Bywater - very cool. The food is the highlight, here though - about as...More

Was lucky to be at the opening of the new location, the corner of Ossington and College last night (839 College). The food was as good as ever. We enjoyed the blackened chicken livers, shrimp, calamari, chicken fingers and crab cakes. All were great. The...More

Happened on this "funky' New Awlins wannabbee and were not disappointed. Typical Louisiana fare was spicy(moderate in our case), delicious gumbo and Creole chicken. All served with a smile by helpful waiters. Interiour decor is kitchy with one wall full of paintings, small purple velour...More

We've been eating at the old location for the last 15 years and always had a fantastic experience. We recently went to the new College St. restaurant for our anniversary and were so disappointed. Had the Summerlicious menu as it had all of our favourites...More

This restaurant is not in the downtown 'tourist' area but if you like cajun/creole cuisine, it's worth going a bit off 'the beaten path.'

We've been eating at Southern Accent for over twenty five years. The original site in Mirvish Village recently had to close to make way for condominiums and moved to the new College Street location. I have to be honest, we were worried that the new...More

At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination
for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip

a strong student influence from the Ryerson University
Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in

Southern Accent has been serving the most authentic and exciting Cajun and Creole food in Toronto for 34 years. Recently relocated to the exciting College and Ossington neighbourhood, join us at the bar for a Cajun Cocktail or a bourbon from our collection accompanied by the best Calamari in the city. The restaurant is a tribute to the old victorian house in the Mirvish Village location, laced with all the old quirky artwork and charms. In a hurry? No need to worry. Grab 'n' go and high end take out are available from the express area at the entrance to the restaurant!
