I feel like people in the community go there because they always have, not because the food has any flavour. I try to avoid.

This restaurant has been serving the same food for many, many years. For some, that may be enough. However, in todays environment, I find their bagels less than inviting. Their lox is certainly not first quality. Their coffee is almost undrinkable. And their staff is...More

This very busy Toronto restaurant has been in business for a century. The soups, including their pea soup and beef barley, are excellent. The remaining fare is also good.

The large pea soup is small and the large salad too big. This restaurant has been in business for 100 years, so has its regular clientele and wait staff. No surprises! What you see is what you get: a dairy lover's delight and popular with...More

A good standard restaurant for lunch. I recommend the Greek salad and the pea soup. It is busy and frequented by patrons in the area. Be prepared to wait. Not good for conversation.
