Stopped here for a drink with friends. A lovely oasis where you can sit comfortably together and enjoy a conversation without excessive background noise. Very much like a quaint British pub. Staff were attentive. Excellent selection of worldwide beers at a very good price.

Great pub decor & atmosphere, quick, friendly service, reasonably priced, right across the road from the AGO.

A very nice pub to visit especially in the summer as most windows open wide making an outdoors atmosphere. An extensive craft beer menu that should please all tastes. Food is OK.

Service was super slow. Food was good. Don't expect to be in and out of this place. Our waiter was not the greatest. He couldn't remember the specials. Only two people at the table ordered drinks and he couldn't even remember who ordered what one. Place is also kind of a dump and the washrooms are disgusting. Could be an... More

My sister and I took our five kids here right before going to visit the AGO. They were very very kid friendly, offering kid drinks and telling us what was available that they may like. The food was great and the service too. Highly recommend this pub before or after a trip to the art museum.

Disappointed by the pricing at the AGO restaurants, we headed to the Village Idiot, across from the AGO, with three very hungry children. Busy, loud, and no kids in sight, we still were seated and served quickly. Portions are large enough to share between kids. Meal was nothing special amd pricing average. Good in a pinch. Will likely try another... More

We stopped in for a quick bite after the museum and before a movie. The food was fine but not great. In that area, I didn't see any restaurants that had high marks. Perfectly acceptable salad and cheeseburger.

Since we didn't want to pay a lot for lunch at the gallery restaurant prior to a show, nor at the nearby fast food galleria, we thought we'd try the pub across the street. My wife had the seafood linguini, I had a vegetarian wrap and we shared a half liter of wine, all for $43. Both meals were quite... More

I think this bar coordinates its craft beer selection with Sin and Redemption which is next door. They have a huge variety of beers available and the ones we've tried come in specialty mugs.

We decided to come here out of pure circumstance. The service was great! We tried a myriad of appetizers as well as some cocktails and it was all great. Saw the main dishes being served and it opposed great. Of the circumstance arose again? Would try and have dinner there.
