We opted for the all-day-all-you-can-eat barbecue which included raw pork, beef, chicken, beef ribs, sausage, salmon and other fish as well as many very tasty side dishes. The servers promptly removed empty plates and kept bringing more food. After a while they replaced the grill-top. There were four of us and it was so much fun to grill the food,... More

Worst kalbi experience ever. The meat had no resemblance to kalbi - short rib- no bones and lots of fat that did not look like short rib at all. Marinade had no flavor. The soy sauce was watered down - this kinda gives you the measure of the place. Not sure how they get away with calling the worst cut... More

We've been here before. Each table is equiped with a small grill and you receive healthy portions of protein as well as sides (tofu, potato, sprouts, kimchi, daikon) and you cook your own dinner. It's all you can eat and you can choose which meats you get for different prices. We opted for the higher end one and had all... More

I visited the Korean Grill House as part of a group of six friends. The place has some large tables to accommodate big groups. It was a Friday evening, so we were had some pitchers of beer, which were cold, tasty and reasonably priced. We had the all you can eat beef, pork, chicken, fish and shrimp! The food was... More

Always wanted to go to a Korean restaurant and cook my own food. Finally went and really enjoyed it. My wife, her brother and I went for lunch. We really had fun barbecuing our own food. We like the chicken and beef the best but the pork was really good as well. We really liked the sauces that the meets... More

I came in for lunch with a couple and ended up almost feeling sick on the spot. Not only are the women washroom filthy the food wasn't so good either. I ordered a glass of water and found a food fly on top of my ice. My son ordered ice tea and found a food fly in his glass so... More

Korean Grill House – Yonge & Bloor – service was good, the food itself was good not great, Kimchi a bit too sweet, the hot sauce was good, but they had not properly cleaned the in-table griller that had the effect of giving both of us upset stomachs for the next two days. We had eaten there before and it... More

Our kids picked Grill Time and loved grilling their own meat, chicken and seafood. Meat, chicken and seafood are the main attractions though. We wisely ordered dinner for four which was plenty for two adults and two kids (versus all-you-can-eat) and came with beef broth, rice and vegetable sides. The rice was generous, the broth just OK and but the... More

Not everyone likes going to a restaurant where you're served raw food and then you must grill it yourself, but I find it quite interesting. There was a bunch of people waiting inside. After 20 minutes we managed to get a table at the street level, near the window, so we could see the ever-changing 'scenery' on Yonge Street. The... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
