Location, location, location. There was a different vibe in the old spot. Though merchandise may remain the same, parking around Bloor/Spadina is impossible and extra effort needs to be made to get there.

New Englanders consume more ice cream per capita than any other group in the US, and we are no exception, but it has to be homemade..... Greg's has the reputation as being one of the best in Toronto, and it is certainly very good. A limited selection of flavors speaks to the freshness of the product and there were enough... More

Exotic flavors! Tried the pear-ginger and loved it:) The only draw back was the cash-only part (and to make it worse, they didn't have the proper bills to return your change! I ended up getting 10 loonies and some other coins as my change!)

Had a double scoop of roasted marshmallow and chocolate frost. $6, a bit more than the dairy case at your grocery store, but worth every bite on a hot day!

Small place with limited seating inside and out, about 6 tables total. Line was going out the door but the girls at the counter kept it moving. Tasting on anything you want, all delicious! Good price, delicious handmade ice cream, amazing flavors-enjoy!

I went to Greg's twice on a recent visit. The first time was to try their Ginger Ice cream, and the second time was to try the Cardamom. The flavors were wide ranging (some not too out-there), the ice cream quality was good, and the price just fine. The only slight negative is that seating was very limited. I was... More

Stopped in here for ice cream after it was highly recommended. Hands down some of the best ice cream we have had. Lots of fruit chunks and super unique flavours.

What could be better on a warm summer evening than a cup or cone of Greg's ice cream? Not many things, that's for sure. The star anise and coffee toffee were both excellent. This is a place you want to keep coming back to.

It was a warm day and my friend and I decided that an ice cream would hit the spot. Greg's Ice Cream is clearly a favourite in this city. It's just a small place, but the line up was out the door. I had a raspberry lemonade ice cream and it was delicious.

Tucked away in the distillery district I walked upon Greg's ice cream, which is a truly wonderful find. The counter lady allowed me to sample all of the flavors one at a time. All were so good, and dove into Coffee Toffee in a Cup. So amazing fresh. Was able to watch as they actually were making a batch of... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
