This has been a meeting place for me and my friends for years...to hang out before the show starts at the Fox or to grab a great brew, catch up and then walk on the boardwalk. Highly recommended for quality - try the yummy home-baked goodies - and the friendly, helpful staff. Down to earth and cozy.

Amazing baked goods. Best peanut butter cookies and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies in town. Fine cappuccino. Great dark coffee roasted on site. A neighbourhood gem.

Community Coffee Shop where community meets, chats, reads the newspaper of jumps into the internet. Located next to the Fox Theater it is a jaunt up from the Beach on Queen and well worth the visit, making friends and becoming part of a community.

Located in the eastern end of the Beaches area of Toronto, this quaint little coffee shop is home to Rocket Fuel! Yes, you read this correctly. They have a coffee named rocket fuel and man does it have some kick. Always bustling this coffee shop has limited seating inside but has benches outside for those who like to people watch.... More

I went to this coffee shop twice during the summer. I had an excellent americano and sausage roll the first time, but was a little turned off by the fruit flies buzzing around the muffins. I went back to give it another go. It was a different barista and the americano was terrible. The fruit flies were still there. This... More

A nice little place in the east end of Toronto, in the beaches neighborhood. It's small but the atmosphere is cozy, and very friendly place. The baked goods are by far the best I have ever had in any coffee shop. I love the muffins, Brownies and pie.Their dark roast coffee is really good, much better than other places I... More

I'm very picky about coffee and this place makes theirs well. I got it exactly how I like it, with good quality beans. The barista was super nice and friendly with a quirkiness I like in an independent store. The vibe of the place is cool with exposed brick, industrial light fixtures, jazz playing. The wifi was good. I loved... More

This place was just a block away from the house we were staying....so we went there a couple times. Staff was very friendly. The first time we just went in to ask for directions to the Fox Cinema (turns out it's a couple doors away), and the person behind the counter was interested in what movie we were going to... More

I buy my beans here, I buy the occasional butter tart too (made in house!). Their coffee is fabulous. Their staff is always smiling and helpful. It's crowded all the time - for a reason! They are very good.

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
