granted it is in kensington market (hippy neighbourhood); however the service was awful. The waiter gave us a very bad attitude, messed up our bills. We were 8 people and he was literally angry why we are 8. Food is mediocre, drinks too. It is a pick-up place for younger crowd. Did not like it at all.

Great evening dance spot; casual, decently priced drinks ($4 shots on Fridays, $7 on Saturdays & featured tall cans for $6) & a DJ spinning throwbacks. There's usually a lineup by midnight so get here early. As a restaurant I would not recommend it: I had the pineapple chicken and some rice; but the Fish Tacos were inedible. Portions are... More

This past Saturday found my wife and I along with a few friends down in Kensington Market for a show my band was playing. After setting up for our show we all needed to eat and since we were playing at the Supermarket we decided to try the restaurant at the front of the club. It has a relaxed easy... More

Been here a few Sunday nights for the live music and it's really good. As far is the place is concerned, we've done mostly drinks there. Pick up your drinks at the bar and hang out for a good time. You can sit far from the stage to actually be able to chat with friends without shouting. If you want... More

We love going to see the amateur night at Supermarket on Sunday's. There are many talented individuals that show up almost every weekend. We've never had any food, just drinks.

We went to Chris Hau play at the venue and decided to have dinner there. Candles on the table! Great Service! And Amazing food! We had the Best Mango Salad in Toronto and a Stir Fry Thai chicken dish that was perfect! It was one of the best dinners we have had in Toronto! Then watched Chris and Talin put... More

Supermarket is my favorite restaurant in my neighborhood in Toronto. The food which is meant to be shared is varied and delicious. I always have sui mai and long beans and sweet potato chips and.......everything is great. There is music later at night and it is always fun to wander around Kensington Market.

We wanted to visited the Kensington Market neighborhood and this was the perfect destination! The place is funky--maybe more known for late night music rather than an evening meal. The menu, Asian fusion, had some fun options. We opted to share the Heirloom tomato salad, lamb poutine, and crispy chicken dumplings. The salad was excellent and lamb poutine unique and... More

We enjoyed dinner at Supermarket. We ate early as we were interested in food rather than entertainment and stuck with Tapas. The restaurant describes itself as Pan-Asian/Global which was a new experience for us with Tapas. Although we enjoyed some dishes more than others, everything we ordered was tasty and well prepared. The service was good as well.
