I intended buying a Groupon for Whitlocks' in Toronto. I called about hours and the Groupon details before purchasing, because I sometimes find these purchases inaccurate. I was told the menu for the Groupon is different from what is displayed on their website or on the Groupon offering. It is misrepresentative advertising. Groupon says click for menu, which is appealing,... More

A friend of mine invited me to brunch at this restaurant near the beaches on a Sunday and I was glad I made the trip down from Pickering. It is all you can eat, buffet style and the total per person came up to $27 with a drink including tip. I had a hot chocolate. For $27 I ate until... More

For great service , try to avoid peak hours ! Had an excellent Tiger Shrimp salad tonight , with a delicious Baked Brie 'n Blueberry Sauce Appetizer (at half price because of the early dinner hour) The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the spinach salad was very good ! So too the other Salmon salad. The waitress was charming... More

Why have a patio + dog bowls of you don't allow dogs on said patio?? If you have weird rules at least have polite staff to administer!

Very disappointed with service and food was even worse Slow, half the menu not available, ordered calamari salad and smelled bad. Brunch plates where plain. Not impressed. But waiter did recognize the issue and took plate out no questions asked. Kudos to him.

Was not at all impressed that once was a very good place for brunch. The service was lacking. I had to ask for a refill of of coffee. The Belgian waffles that used to be so good tasted sour as did the breakfast sausage. I will not be returning to this resto.

Went here with a friend and had extremely slow service. The food was tasty but we waited over 30 minutes for our food to come. They forgot to serve us the salad and said they would bring it with the main course - they never brought it. This is not a cheap eats place and we were very disappointed.

Enjoy eating here for lunch after a morning walk on beach or tennis. They has a nice outside patio and the inside is very inviting as well. Recommend their burger selections with your favorite beverage!

We visited Whitlock's recently - I remember enjoying brunch there in the 1990s, so had high hopes for dinner. I personally was attracted to the lasagna option on the menu, though the server writing on the board outside was quick to inform me they had "run out" of it. We went in anyway. My husband ordered the spaghetti Bolognese and... More

We have been going for many years with a few different owners. Restaurant food has always been good.

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
