We dined at Nazareth in May of 2015. This cozy little gem seems unchanged in 2017 which is a very good thing. Prices are still the same. All dishes $10.69 which is truly amazing considering the size and quality. The menu also seemed to be unchanged. The only thing that seemed different was the opening time which is 15:30.I could... I've been here twice and both times were amazing. The food is traditional Ethiopian cuisine which I've never had before and it was delicious. I loved the tradition of eating with your hands (NO CUTLERY ALLOWED). Don't get freaked out! It enhances the experience and is beautiful. The food has a kick is spice BUT it's got flavour. I'm referring... More

I am never let down when I come here. Best food whether you want the meat or vegetarian option. The prices are great and you will always leave full and satisfied. It's a small place, so there is usually a line. It is always worth the wait so don't let your patience get the worst of ya! Totally worth checking... More

Was the second customer today, welcoming hosts. sat for 40 mins before the food came in and the place got crowded. Each dish is 12 bucks. Ethnic bread is called Injira, similar to Indian "dosa" - a damp bread made of fermented grains. The portion size is huge, enough for two. Along with that you have portions of lentils in... More

The food is great-delicious, fresh, super filling. I'm a big fan of Ethiopian food already but I wouldn't recommend this as a first-time place to try Ethiopian food. You have to be comfortable eating with your hands and sharing. You also have to be willing to wait a VERY long time for your food to get to the table. My... More

As you walk into the restaurant which is cozy and intimate you can almost feel like you're stepping into a mini forest. There are vine like "plants" everywhere . We though it was every fun and different and there was Ethiopian art on the walls. The food platers are definitely designed to be shared and super super filling and tasty.... More

You will likely wait at least 20 minutes - but it is so much worth it. If you are not familiar with the food, the waitress will help you pick. Just don't be in a rush.

I read from other reviews that it took awhile to get food as it is always made fresh. I ordered takout an hour in advance. When I arrived to get it they had not even started. It took another 45 minutes to get my food. If the food was amazing I would not have been as upset. The veggie platter... More

Its a small family run restaurant with a few tables. Feels smaller inside because of a ton of fake ivy hanging from the ceiling which makes it quite claustrophobic. The food however is the best Ethiopian I have eaten. However, they do not take reservations or answer the phone, its first come first serve basis. Line ups are long, and... More

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
