We wait for 50 minutes seeing all the other tables being served. They lost our order and after all this time we decided to leave.

I have been at Rio a fee times. I have tried a few dishes there all delicious. My favourite the picanha with ananas ( pineapple) and the mandioca. Food Prices are very reasonable. Drinks prices are good too. Try the Batida or Caipirinha. Service is not bad, but it can take a while to get a waiter or waitress attention.... More

My wife and I found Rio 40 by accident. Friendly staff, great salads, delicious steak. My wife enjoyed the house (red) wine, while I also found their coffee tasty. Prices are reasonable. We will return!

This is my favorite Brazilian restaurant in the GTA. The food is delicious, the desserts are amazing! Small place, nice patio, very authentic and staff speak Portuguese.

I took my (Brazilian) girlfriend here on our first date in downtown Toronto. The service was phenomenal. It was my first time trying a traditional Brazilian dish, and I was amazed. The staff were so friendly, and the environment was so fun. They were all fluent in Portuguese and English, so the trip is worth it for guests looking for... More

This place has some great food (not much variety or choice for vegetarians though), and their dishes are tasty. They have a nice outdoor patio for the summer time and comfortable seating inside as well. While the ambiance is nothing exciting, the food makes up for it. The best part about it though is the portions - they are massive!... More

My partner and I stopped in here for lunch one afternoon and were seated close to the large television so we could watch the world cup. Our server seemed surprised when we ordered an appetiser with our dishes and brought over our drinks and complimentary bread in a timely fashion. The bread was very stale and the butter was hot... Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
