My friend and I enjoyed this meal. The soft rolls were excellent. We mixed the plate and stuffed the rolls along with a dark sauce - which we did not know what it was other than it tasted good. We had pork dumplings, shrimp and...More

I highly recommend the dumplings and wonton soup. The give out hot green tea which is a added bonus. Was not so fond of the shrimp fried rice or the curt waitstaff.

I have heard of this place for a while. Most of the reviews of Mother's dumplings are quite good. However, I was quite disappointed when I tried the food there tonight. First of all, the fried dumplings were just warm; the taste was okay. The...More

Fresh, unique and complex flavors accompany every dish at this amazing restaurant. It's not the sauce laden Chinese food of the States. You can even watch the employees make the dumplings while you eat. The staff is very sweet and attentive. I found the decor...More

If you decided to venture away from Dundas square - I would recommend walking down Spadina Street from College Street heading southbound towards King Street. Make sure to stop in and check out all of the cheap stores. Follow the locals to the good shops....More

This was our 3rd separate visit to Mothers Dumplings. It's a must visit every time we are in Toronto. I've never had better dumplings anywhere- they're made by hand and come to the table piping hot and fresh. Boiled, steamed, fried- all are awesome!

On Spadina Ave, one of Toronto's Asian neighbourhoods, is a best-kept secret. Unassuming and lost amongst a sea of restaurants is Mother's Dumplings, sure to fill your belly and not bust your budget.

Vegan hubby and I stopped here before an appointment in Toronto. It was quite busy despite the late hour (10pm) The decor is simple, and the tables are close together. The surrounding conversations were not intrusive but you should not go here if you are...More

We went with two other couples on their recommendation and it's a popular spot so I was glad we had reservations. This restaurant serves food from Northern China so you'll find a lot more menu items with meat and wheat than usual. We ordered up...More

Toronto's main Chinatown has the honor of being the
largest in North America. Gaping down across Dundas
Street West and Spadina Avenue, the area is a
wonderful medley of shops and restaurants, busy signs
and bright red gates, a destination for foodie fun.
Chinatown's streets are always bustling, packed with
people and outdoor stalls hawking fresh produce and
products. The restaurants and authentic marketplaces
