Visited this place as part of a 40 person group and both the service and the food was exceptional. We did not order off of the menu however the meal that was prepared for us was excellent. The beer sampling was fun and educational.

It was a very pleasant day to head to the Distillery District to check out the Christmas Market and explore the many art galleries, shops, and eateries. We decided on the Mill Street Brew Pub for lunch and are glad we did! Salmon was our choice as a side with a tasty kale Caesar salad and as a pan seared... More

One friends and I visited this past Friday and had an excellent time and decent meal. Our food was cold when it came to the table and the music was so loud that we couldn't hear each other speak at all. This would be nice for a club, but a dinner with friends it was just too much. All we... More

This place is huge and must get very busy in the warmer months. This is a must visit whilst in Toronto - call in whilst exploring the Distillery district.

Attended the restaurant tonight. Was happy they could take our name and text when a table was ready. I found the menu a little bland and fairly over priced. Once we realized our neighbours received there food and having arrived before them, we hadn't yet received our drinks. Our service was awful in the beginning and continued through out the... More

Really great food here. Had the beef dip and there must have been almost a pound of shaved beef and a baguette, amazing, enough to share. fish and chips were great too.

Two of us visited on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. They were not busy so I am very surprised that the food was so bad. My partner ordered a burger with bacon and cheese, it arrived without the cheese. Lukewarm at best and very, very dry. I ordered the lager battered fish and chips and it was awful, so overdone... Went early (5:30)on a Saturday night before theatre and place was full and lively. Reservations are by email only and apparently mine was lost. Hostess found us a table for four in the bar but recommend making reservations at least 24hrs in advance. Serve staff were pleasant and food servings were generous and tasty. Expected a bill over $100 for... More

Fantastic pub in the heart of the distillery district. A step above your normal pub fare and on Sundays they usually have a roast special. Thursday nights live music is great as well!

For a long time I've heard friends rave about this pub, so impulsively I decided to go with my girlfriend. When we got there, we had great service from the hostess. She was super nice and had a table ready for us in a timely manner. That's to say nothing of the bar tender who didn't spot us for nearly... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
