We went for breakfast on Sunday morning. We wanted greasy spoon food. I had bacon and eggs and home fries, my wife had western omelette. Two coffees. As another reviewer stated, bacon had funny taste. I think it tasted like fried fish. I surmised they had cooked the bacon in the deep fryer. Didn't gross me out a but was... More

I don't live near Dairy Freeze, but I have many times driven for half and hour to get what a lot of people I know agree is the best fast-type food in town. I know of no better burger anywhere. The onion rings are like doughnuts, the fries are delicious and the Greek salad tastes better than it looks. I... More

I've been coming to this place since I was a kid! Burgers are charbroiled-delicious and the onion rings can't be missed. Dairy Freeze might have an odd name, but it's a classic that can't be missed!

Nice warm spring day and I was hungry and I remembered the Dairy Freeze. The very best extra thick chocolate milk shake. Nice juicy Hamburger and crispy fries. A great lunch.

This is "the spot" for my fiancée and I. Our favorite little joint. It has a very 70's diner like feeling to it. Conveniently located and open until 3 am on most nights. They sell delicious Greek and fast food and have delicious creamy ice cream. They are very generous with their portions. I can never finish a dairy freeze... More

$14.00 for 6 cubes of chicken and a styrofoam container full of french fries and two onion rings. The salad looked half decent. But i ate none of it because of the rude attitude i got when i called to ask politely if i could return it. Told too bad and not giving me anything back...no money no exchange. Not... More

Dairy Freeze is a 24/7 Greek fast food restaurant on St. Clair and Caledonia. The food is tasty and the staff friendly. The portions are great served in a pita, bun or more expensive dinner plate.

Service is fast and generally friendly. You order your food and when it's cooked you select your toppings behind the glass. Its an older place that has not been updated but makes it the classic style burger joint I've enjoyed over the years. Not something people usually look for but the tomatoes they use are amazing and i like the... More

This is a classic spot for a late-night snack or for an afternoon burger with the kids. I've been coming to this place since I was in college. The decor is a little dated but the food is good and priced well. Love their fries.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
