Stopped in for lunch today after hearing good things about this cute little spot and was thoroughly impressed. Nice decor, great vibe, warm friendly service. Most importantly, the food was amazing! The panini were among the best sandwiches we've ever had. The house salad was nothing to write home about but fair enough for what it was. We were too... More

We try twice in same day to get in. VERY busy. Finally after noon we decide to wait for a table. Almost 40 min. But it worth every single min. The Cuban Panini over expectations. Ask for fresh green salad to compliment it.... The ouef coquette was amazing. The ambient, food, service... Everything was so good. The swets are to... More

We went to this place during the Easter weekend as it was on our list; called in advance and were told they don't take reservations (which is quite normal for a place in downtown Montreal on a Saturday!). Hubby and I got there at around 10:00 hoping to be able to find a spot until our friends join at 10:30... More

Beautiful and casual cafe. We were looking for a healthy lunch and their Big Healthy Salad with tempeh was perfect. The staff was really friendly, and I would definitely go back.

Very good place for brunch. I like Tartine that's full of fresh veggies and cream on top of toast. A popular place that waiting time is between 20-30 minutes, but it's worth it! Price vice is reasonable too. You don't have to pay $50 for a brunch to have a great time!

You know a place is good when it's always packed! Quick service and good food/drinks. Not a specialty coffee shop! Try the cheesy southern biscuit!

We had great egg panni and yogurt with granola. They also had the best orange juice. I had the pecan brioche. It was pretty good but a little over baked if they had warmed it may have been fine.

Dropped by on a rainy day - they were closing up but invited me to take a to-go order. I had a green tea elixir and the very last chocolatine of the day for around ten bucks, delicious and a great pick me up, given the weather!

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
