Went there yesterday with a friend. First of all I would like to say the service was impeccable. The food on the other hand was not so great. The quality of the fish was not to my liking, especially considered the price. I don't mind lower quality fish if the sushi don't cost much but in this case they were... More

We came to this restaurant with friends. It is a little bit far from downtown but it is worth a visit if you are a sushi lover like us. We loved their sushi. The fish is fresh and we took a combo that we all shared. It was very good value for money. Can't wait to come back to Montreal... More

Excellent sushi, have been many times and will definitely return. The belong to be among the best in Montreal alongside Sho-dan and Tri-Express. The Hochelaga area is sketchy but definitely worth the detour.

It was my second time at Sata. My boyfriend and I went there for valentines day dinner. The sushi was amazing as well as the service. There really is no reason not to try this resto! You will not be disappointed! Can't wait to go back again

My boyfriend took me to Sata sushi for our one year anniversary and I have to say I am rather picky of the restaurant I go to when it comes to eating sushi but My first time at Sata Sushi was a success! The service is impeccable ... Our waiter who seemed like the owner/maitre d was a pleasure to... More

I have eaten sushi in different restaurants, cities, countries, continents. I do not understand the rave reviews for this restaurant. As it was my first time there, I ordered a few classics to see how they would compare with the average, and they came far below standards. The rice was tasteless, rice krispies were advertised as tempura crisp. Overall not... More

Small sushi restaurant, not too far from downtown by metro. Inside the atmosphere is calm yet filled lively chatter, with music and candles to set the mood. Sushi was one of the best i've had in Montreal... Even the vegetarian maki with sweet potato and tempura was (surprisingly) to die for.... my favourite of the night. Wine list is reasonably... More

Really cool little sushi restaurant in an unexpected location of Montreal. The sushi specialties are to die for, especially the Salmon maki 'gratiné' a tasty innovative 'maki' combination of spicy sauce, funky seaweed wrap and salmon. The highlight of this roll: the salmon is roasted on top with a blow torch! Very very tasty treat. The decor is really nice... More

A small sushi restaurant in Montreal's HoMa neighbourhood. A nice but limited section of sushi with a few interesting specialties. The service was good. The seating odd (one chair rocked). The prices were acceptable to high.

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighbourhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighbourhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
