Kazu you made me speechless from a first bite. Great place for couples therapy. It's a first time in a history that I have not argued with my partner. If my mother cooked this good I would have to marry her. There is always a first and for me that means coming back to the same restaurant twice on the... More

TINY place so you're going to need to eat fast and go but don't let that fool you! The vibes and the FOOD are so authentic. No nonsense beautiful Japanese cuisine. My sashimi appetizer was as bright in appearance as it was in flavor! I had the 24 hour pork and my only regret was that there wasn't more (portions... More

One of my favourite restaurant. There is chances that you wait outside, don't go there if you are more than 4 people. Very affordable. I prefer going there for dinner as they have much more choice, but lunch is fine too. Very nice service, amazing food.

A must try place. Our very favourite casual restaurant. The salmon tuna bowl is delicious, the 48hrs pork, the neck pork, the salmon belly, the ramen, everything it's just amazing.

Great little (and I do mean tiny) place! Ramen was excellent, very tasty broth, great presentation, and reasonable prices. I'll definitely be back. The homemade ice cream was delish!

Kind of a hole in the wall restaurant with rickety looking furniture. Even before the restaurant opens for lunch at noon, a queue forms approx 15 minutes earlier. Half a dozen spots at the counter and maybe a dozen or so at tables are available. Now to the food: fresh, balanced and decent portions. Fish, pork, beef, noodles and rice... More

Don't be put off by the unpretentious "hole-in-the-wall" chic interior or the perpetual, but fast moving, line up out the door. The focus is on the food. Every dish is freshly prepared and we loved everything we tried over our 5 visits in 8 days. Fresh salads, chicken tortilla, shrimp burger, salmon belly... all so light and delicious. Fun atmosphere... More

Probably one of the best restaurants in Montreal, on a first visit during lunchtime in winter, do not hesitate, you want to splurge in that bowl of ramen. Perfect cuts of pork belly, hard boiled egg, nori and noodles, the broth is the standout and is deep as the heart that makes it. Expect huge lineups but restaurant does a... More

Impressive, the food and the service. So quick. So typical. Great portions. Come before of after rush hours for a place to sit. The staff is fun; they all seem to enjoy the work and the people they serve. They are all very polite, in words and manners. It is quite an experience. Would come back for sure. No credit... More

The best Sushi in Canada! Atmosphere is really like in Japan (or what I watch about Japan on TV) , and the taste is perfect. We were there for the businesstrip and briefly, but we would love to visit again.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
