Food was great. Not really a full-service sit down meal type of place despite having table service--pretty much the only thing they serve is dumplings so it's best as a lunch spot. Very crowded but good eats.

No surprise for the dumplings. Place is too small to sit comfortably. I prefer another dumpling restaurant than this one.

The dumplings are very good, but a few words about service and clealiness.. please clean the tables before sitting clients down and placing menues on tables, we were placed at a table that still had food stains from previous client. We were there for lunch and were quickly seated at a table, menu slapped down in front of us.. I... More

Flavorful dumplings, many types, all handmade, fresh ingredients. You can get steamed or pan fried. Try a combo of different dumplings. Great value, simple restaurant. Cucumber salad is also good. Family friendly.

This is the best place to have dumplings in Montreal!!! Cheap, fresh, delicious and efficient staff! You must try pork and zucchini!

I have come here many times, both in the old and the new location next door (called 'dumplings'). I can't get enough. My favorite order of dumplings is the pork and zucchini, steamed. Don't come here expecting to be served like if you were in a 3-star michelin restaurant. Dumplings are cheap street-food and this is what you get here,... More

We really enjoyed the dumpling offerings of this little place on Boul Saint Laurent. So much so, we went back! Wide menu choices, the food is tasty, service is good and fast. There is an ATM there in case you don't have cash. Recommended.

The tea served is absolutely flavorless and, sometimes, it would be nice to be asked if you want some more. As far as the dumplings are concerned, they were ok, both the steamed ones with pork and crevettes, and the fried ones with beef, onion and curry, but really nothing special. The taste is particularly light and I am not... More

My friends came here for lunch after some sightseeing, and it was super-close to our hotel. The place was quite busy when we arrived, but we managed to get seating. The service was good, and fairly fast. We ordered a plate of boiled dumplings and two plates of fried dumplings. SO flavourful - especially the curry beef ones! Our sides... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Bakeries, markets, restaurants, and buffets crowd the brightly graffitied streets of Chinatown, the city's aromatic destination for pan-Asian cuisine. Distinguished at its entry points by towering vermillion paifang gates, the compact neighbourhood acts as a focal point for the Chinese community, hectic with educational facilities, cultural centres, acupuncturists, and foreign-language newspapers. Especially vibrant in the warmer months, when the sweet smell of dragon beard candy along the pedestrian walks of Rue de la Gauchetière signal the beginning of the outdoor street fair season, Chinatown is a treasure hunter's dream, with enough knickknack and curiosity shops to tempt even the pickiest shoppers. The convivial vibe picks up after dark, when the area's active nightlife offers evening crowds their choice of drink, dance, and midnight snacks of pho or oysters. Chinatown's mix of new and old, with herbal remedies being sold alongside pop-culture DVDs, gives the area its own animated brand of moxie.
