This place is very clean and modern. Good for a quick bite for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Simple menu - baked goods, omelets, sandwiches, quiches, fruit salad. Variety of coffee drinks. Counter service with many tables for eating. Nice big windows. Good value, nice atmosphere, pleasant staff. Only gave a 3 because food is basic (but sometimes that's what you... More

Great little place for a quick lunch or coffee in Old Montreal. I had the chicken sandwich, it was good. Service is friendly. Washrooms are clean. Good atmosphere. Recommended for a quick meal while seeing the sites.

Originally we only called in for a drink but the choice of lunches was so good that we stayed and ate. Service was very efficient and friendly and the bistro was spotlessly clean and tidy. We chose quiche and salad with drinks and the price was reasonable. Food was beautifully presented and we also followed up with cakes and more... More

We decide to visit this place coz it was the closest place from our hotel. This place was very romantic and we loved espresso and the bagel.

Stopped in for quick cappuccino. A bit too much foam for me, otherwise flavor was pretty good. I will note sandwiches on display looked very tasty. Prices are very reasonable 4-12$ depending on what salad or panini u wish to have.

Walked the short distance past the Basilica to find a delightful corner cafe. Ordered the breakfast special with fruit. Diverse menu with croissants, soup, pastries, and hot or cold drinks. Try it!

I originally chose this place as it was the closest cafe to my hotel where I could get a bagel with smoked salmon. It was heavenly! They also happened to make the most delicious espresso I've ever tasted, Illy beans and a Rancilio machine. I went back the next morning and had a hazelnut chocolate croissant which was still warm... Great food and great staff! We enjoyed a latte with a ham and cheese omelet, fresh croissant with orange marmalade jam along with a ham and swiss sandwich with fresh OJ.

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
