Took friends here for the first time. Dominic was a fantastic and entertaining server. Food was delicious. Ribs are fall off the bone tender and the charcuterie mixed plate is fabulous. Great place and fun atmosphere.

We had breakfast here this morning and it took 40 minutes to get my yogurt parfait and husband's single French toast. The place was not full and there were plenty servers. Kitchen needs to operate more efficiently. Food was good, prices ok.

We reserved ahead of time for a group of 15, and everything was extremely easy and well-taken care of for us. Booked over phone since OpenTable would not allow a group of this size to book online, but communication with the restaurant was easy. Our...More

If you are in the Old Port area, you'll find most dining isn't open early, even breakfast/brunch/café types of places. The Taverne Gaspar is open at 7:30 and it was outstanding. We had breakfast outside while the city was awakening and thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and...More

Our server was clearly new, and completely at sea, but I hold the restaurant responsible for not responding appropriately. After 20 minutes, we hadn't received either water or the drinks we ordered (I finally canceled mine) and I received the wrong meal. The woman at...More

Stopped in for a drink. Took 30 minutes to get our drinks. Nothing special at all. Food seemed mediocre but didn't try it.

Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to
some of the city's most antiquated buildings and
picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St.
Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums,
festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a
celebrated part of the city that explodes into
fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its
centre, street performers and artists compete with

Bonjour haakonj2016, I am happy you're asking that question as we do get a lot of gluten free requests. There aren't any choices on the menu that are gluten free yet we're very accommodating to that and always work on... More

Every night, drinks flow generously as our kitchen serves up fresh, pub-style cooking. The menu: soulful staples, original cocktails and friendly service in a classic tavern setting.
The space, originally a 19th-century warehouse, preserves much of its old-school furnishings but with a few novel kicks. And come summer, we welcome the warm weather with our big terrace on rue de la Commune.
