This is a very small restaurant on St Laurent Blvd with limited seating and to get there you can get a bus straight up the road from the harbour side. It has a limited menu but really tasty and all cooked fresh on the spot. Great staff who are happy to help you make your choice. A cheap place to... More

Just walked by,and we decided to just rest and have a drink, coconut water... This is by far one of the better vegetarian places we could have gone...plus, it is middle eastern cuisine. Couldn't be any better.

Middle eastern cuisine, yummy and inexpensive what is not to like? Portions are very generous, unless you are really hungry you can split an entree between two of you. the only alert is that the garlic dip is very garlic!!

We had supper here and it was very tasty and healthful. I had the veggie Kafka combo with house made lemonade and salad. We were surprisingly quite full afterward. The staff were welcoming and the service was great.

People at Omnivore are very nice and helpful and don't mind explaining everything in detail for you! The food is a fantastic mix of snack food and proper meals. They have good vegetarian options and everything looks very fresh and is made right in front of your eyes. You don't need a reservation and it's has a quite casual ambiance.... More

My husband and I had dinner here. He had the Bombay kata and I had the Beirut, with some side salads. Although we liked them both, we really enjoyed the Bombay kafta. This is a good place if you are looking to go easy on the wallet, while enjoying fresh ingredients.

I came here on my trip to Montreal with a couple friends and thought there might be more options to choose from. They had styled Lebanese food - but they were more like on the go foods than sit down dinner foods. The place is small and has a couple private tables and a community table. I would give my coconut... We expected a traditional sit down middle eastern restaurant, but this tiny, colourful place is more of a hipstery, eclectic, casual, creative reinvention of middle eastern foods that you order up front at the cash and wait to receive. We had the Roma - hot beef, spicy eggplant, tangy veggies and cabbage on a rounded long panini, which was just... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
