Not impressed. I was not worth the price. First off plates were very poorly plated. Secondly the waitress asked if we would like orange juice she said it was a large glass. When I got it I was so disappointed it was a regular glass size and they charged $5. Lastly the worst part was when I ordered a white... More

We were recommended to go to Faberge and when we got to the location there was a line up. So we anxiously awaited our turn. The room is small and you are packed in tight. The waitress was rushed but polite. We ordered the mac bennies and the salmon bennies. And we added the Poutine instead of regular potatoes. The... More

This was our second visit to Faberge and things have not changed much. On week-ends be prepared for a long wait, especially near noon. We were 4 people and arrived at about 9:45 am and there was already a line outside. We waited a good 25 minutes before we were seated. Our waitress, Talia, was excellent. She gave us a... More

This past Sunday, I went to Fabergé with a friend. There was a long line outside at 12 pm and we waited 30 minutes for a table for 2. I loved this brunch spot and I believe that it was well worth the wait. I tried the spicy hot chocolate and decadent cinnamon butter French toast with pecans. Everything was... More

If you love brunch like I do, than you must, must, must visit Faberge. This place is awesome. The food is great, the selection is amazing, the ambiance is cozy and the service is quick and friendly. The only con is that if you don't get there before the rush, you will have to cue in line outside -- rain,... More

Went here for Saturday brunch based on online reviews and we were excited especially after we saw the long lines outside. The food though was nothing special. I got the chocolate waffle, and my boyfriend got the Sante benedict. We were both disappointed. I guess maybe we had high expectations based on what we had read. Won't be going back.

This is a great spot for breakfast. The place has a "hip" vibe to it. Grafitti on the walls, young team, with really nice colours for furniture. They have an extensive breakfast menu, with your usual classics and really interesting take on those classic. The Benny Mac is a great example, as is their wonderful French toasts. Go there, you... There is something for everyone here. The menu items range from classic to some items with a twist like the Chicken and waffles. Friendly staff. It gets busy but that's because it is good! Worth the wait! Would recommend to friends.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
