Italian average Wine selection: do not kill my bottle in a run because of oversized glass. Kitchen in the room is no longer my piece of cake. Still good, limited desert offer.

We went on a Saturday night, excellent service (Steven), very good atmosphere (seeing the cooks in action) and excellent dish (red tuna was cooked to perfection, the best we have had in our various travels).

We arrived without reservations but were able to be seated at the bar. Ordered the salad with pineapple, pumpkin seeds and greens and the meatballs as appetizers and both were amazing. We wanted to try their brazed beef pasta and were glad we did. Service was amazing.

Salumi Vino is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in the Old Port. It's Cozy, it's charming and Mario makes you feel at home every time. Authentic Italian food. hands down best calamari I ever had and the Beef Papardelli was deiicious!!. Great wine selection and reasonably priced. Salumi Vino is a must try in the old-port, 10/10!

I love this restaurant! I live in Toronto but I frequent Montréal for work and family and I always ensure I stop by. The owner, Mario, treats me like family and always surprises me with amazing additions to the menu! I highly recommend this restaurant for work or play and especially if you want to impress a date! Try it!... More

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
