This place has been a regular favourite of mine since I moved to Little Italy five years ago. The food is always on point, wether you're looking for smoked brisket, pulled pork, or their fantastic fried chicken. Their standard sides are one better than the other braised greens, mashed potatoes, hushpuppies, etc. then add to this an always innovative menu... More

This is a decent place to eat chicken and ribs and other comfort foods. They also have pic Nic baskets that you can take out and eat in the nearby park. Nice option in summer. It's a small place and the food is good. Would recommend to a friend if you are in the area.

We rode our bixi bikes to this restaurant. There are two parts, a take out and a sit down side. It was empty as it was still the start of the lunch time on a Sunday. We took a seat by the window. The restaurant decor is interesting and they used long black drapes to separate the kitchen and everything... More

My family and I went there in August. There is a small dining area that you enter on the left or a takeout area on the right. We did takeout. I never had takeout like this. The restaurant packs you basket with a tablecloth, napkins, glasses, cutlery, condiments and of course your meal. This basket could be taken across the... More

Great confort food without splurging. Little place but big hearts! Lovely staff. Unique concept in the summer (they sure your order in a basket and go off to eat a picnic in the neighbourhood then you return your dishes in the basket when you are done). LOVE LOVE LOVE. We all need to enjoy these simple things in life more... More

Went and ate usual 3-piece fried chicken and sides. Cornbread amazing as always, roasted sweet potato which are usually much better and seasonal side of corn, fresh cheese and shallots which was fresh and tasty!!! Love this place, great southern comfort food under 20$!

One of those places that makes me love my neighborhood. Just a great vibe and great food. Love that they lend you picnic baskets and everything you need to go enjoy a nice meal at the park across the street.

If you crave for fried chickens, forget KFC because that's the place. Located at Clark and St-laurent corner, this cozy restaurant redifine what fried chicken should really be. It is tender and crispy at the same time, dip it in their gravy and it is heaven on earth. I recommend their MEAT & THREES formula, where you can choose 3... More

The highlight of the restaurant is the concept that is way stronger than the food; for about 40$ including tip you get a DIY picnic basket that you bring to the nearby park. It has everything you need including plates and sauces and it's all neatly packed into a basket. I guess it's a good alternative to not having enough... More

The service was great, the waiters are very kind. The food on the other hand was lacking in flavor. I had the brisket sandwich and the meat was extremely dry, I had to drench it with sauce so I would be able to swallow it. The sauce was actually really good, I liked it more than the sandwich. I also... More

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighbourhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
