This was a VERY disappointing visit to Bar à beurre. We had a reservation for 4 and got seated at a table for 2. Three of the teas on the menu weren't available. We got the same serving plate of food for 3 of us...More

We researched places for the best croissants and macarons in Montreal, before our trip. We picked the "Bar a Beurre" . Their croissants were amazing, big , flaky and buttery. Sadly the macarons were a big disappointment. Too much sickly sweet icing.

We found this cafe quite by accident and decided to have our breakfast here. It is nice to find an independent cafe rather than a chain such as Starbucks to have a coffee, a tea, a pain au chocolat and a croissant aux amandes. We...More

We ate at this café multiple times! The food was freshly prepared and delicious! We ate sandwiches, salads, cupcakes, coffee and tea, and everything tasted wonderful! Although it was a bit of a walk from our hotel, it was worth every step!

We found this little cafe by chance on our first day in Montreal and returned every day. Food is divine, staff couldn't do enough for us and the cafe has super decor. This place alone is reason to go back to Montreal!

Went looking for this and ended up in the middle of the Montreal Triathelon. Cute quiet cafe. The ladies were very nice and helpful. We both liked the desserts better than our meals. But overall nice spot.

High tea is one of my favourite treats so when I found out Bar a Beurre offered it, I couldn't wait to try! Not only is it affordable, but the offerings are scrumptious! A little different than traditional English high tea, Bar a Beurre's version...More

We tripped across this quaint café with my sister in-law, search for a croissant. We were pleasantly surprised by the great selection, the good coffee and the friendly staff. A classic very small café where you are elbow to elbow but that is the charm....More

Not sure if this one has gluten free options (have to call them and check) but look at baked2go as an alternative good gluten free option bakery.
