Had a late dinner here, nice spot with good food that turns into a lounge as the evening progresses. Ducked out before the bottle service and important people arrived. Courteous wait staff. Enjoyed pizza.

My sister who is visiting from Copenhagen and I (now living in Vancouver) are visiting MONTREAL over the holidays were looking for some good pasta after an afternoon of shopping. We were renting an apartment nearby and was looking for Italian food. We were seated fairly quickly, given menus but then basically left alone for a long time. The music... More

In general very good food but the help especially Zach went out of his way to make Americans feel unwelcome. I'm a frequent visitor to Montreal and this just an awful experience. They need to change him out.

Good food and the service was great even though it was very busy. The price of food is reasonable, but the portions are kinda small. The atmosphere had a great atmosphere. I would suggest going there earlier as it gets really busy throughout the evening. Otherwise no complaints.

We were a group of 10 on a beautiful evening in late August. A colleague was familiar with Buonanotte and insisted we go, so he made all the arrangements. Our server was a stunning woman (Natasha I believe?) who looked after us very well alright. No attitude and very helpful. Between us we tried just about everything on the menu... More

We made reservations for dinner while in town for a bachelorette party. Dinner experience was great. The food was fantastic and the service was superb. Afterwards, we were transferred to a table on the patio, while the staff transformed the restaurant into a lounge/club. We did not stay long afterwards as we had a long night, the night prior. Would... More

Nice place, the menu offers interesting choices, but takes time to get your order and not as good as it is made out to look on line and on the menu... there is a lot of space inside - dunno why kids were waiting outside just to get a seat ... must be street marketing :-) There is parking.....expensive parking... First impression - why do the girls dress so trashy? class never hurt anyone so I don't get why they put so much effort into making their girls look so trashy. What's wrong with looking a little more classy ...you're a restaurant not a strip club. The starters were good, the mains were crap. Gnocchi was bland and pizza was... More

I'm shocked by all the negative reviews! My friend and I went here for dinner and had a wonderful time. The restaurant definitely has your typical Montreal feel, which made the experience that much more enjoyable. The staff were all incredibly friendly, and very attentive. We had a great time eating fantastic italian food and ordered good wine. You will... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
