We had lunch here and the waitress was prompt, friendly and courteous. The location is great for people watching and enjoying the sun on the patio too. The food was good and I would definitely eat here again.

Amazing cakes/desserts. Friendly service. The decor is a mixture of baroque, 60s and 70s USA plus African safari motifs. And it all goes together seamlessly! Love the food and the ambience.

Enjoyed sitting out on the patio watching the parade of people of Rue St. Catherine. Good service, tasty paninis.

Had escargot for the first time, actually pretty taste, but the star was the coffee drinks. Very good and great service. Everyone was super nice and had a nice crowd.

Not our first time there, and this time went only for coffee and great desserts! Have been there before and their sandwiches are always fresh. Great ambiance where you can relax and not feel rushed at all. Service is excellent! Will definitely return and recommend 1000 Grammes!

It might be in the gay sector of St-Catherine but the quality of the food is really good. The sandwiches are freshly made with good ingredients and the owner (a lady) is really a sweetie. There is a terrace in summer.

Went on a Sunday for lunch and it was understaffed so it took a little while to get served etc. But I had a great croissant sandwhich with brie and a side salad and pie! Definitely recommend if you're looking to grab a bite!

Very popular place. Nice staff. Good food. A little pricey. NO AIR CONDITIONING except for a small AC unit at the door. Patio to eat and people watch. Manicotti was good!

We had a very nice lunch and a great dessert at this restaurant. The food was very good and the service was great. If ever on St. Catherine Street, you should try this place for a nice meal.

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
