We were holiday in Montreal & were surprised to see a Caribbean restaurant so thought we would try it. Not so easy to find, it's next to a number of their restaurants and on the first floor, but were so pleased once we finally sat down to eat. The service from the waitress was steady and attentive and our meals... More

Had a Saturday night dinner here and everything was perfect. The hostess was able to answer all out questions, easily in english and french. The atmosphere was so rich and well maintained. We (the group of us) had jerk chicken, oxtail, mango chicken and curried goat and were all thrilled. Each meal comes with a selection of rice, plantain and... More

Excellent food. Chicken Roti was very delicious. Curry was perfect. This place isn't easy to spot. Even when you are looking for it, it isn't easy. You have to go up stairs. It's a simple place with great Caribbean food.

I used Foodora.ca for delivery service. That is for a separate review. This is strictly about the food. Ordered the Salmon with a side of white rice. The rice was excellent. There was a sauce from the salmon that was covering half of the rice. Very tasty. The salmon? Not so good. First of all, it still had a lot... More

Great location inside someones former home. We had a table in the livingroom near the fireplace and loved the feel of the place. Be warned! Service is suitable slow for Island food! The wait however is worth it. All three in my party agree, best curry roti chicken ever. Perfect tender chicken and potato, incredible spicing and flavours, and just... More

You want authentic Jamaican food and this is the place! The ambiance is relaxing, the service is great, and the food tastes like mamma made it. The food is reasonably priced and there is a good variety. The restaurant is located downtown; the nearest metro station is Guy. If you want to taste authentic Jamaican food and chill, Mango Bay... Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
