Frequented by business people on week days, this is a great place to eat French and have a glass of wine. As good at lunch as dinner time. Pricey but good.

We went again this past Sunday pleasant staff good menu. Service as always is excellent by real Frenchmen and not local talent. Recommended for all occasions.

We had a very pleasant pre-theater dining experience on a cold Saturday night. The dishes presentation was outstanding, the food quality great and professional service at it's best. No wonder they are celebrating 45 years of presence on the ''Plateau''.

Our dinner at Chez Leveque was great. The menu and wine list are great. The menu has been the same for 15 years our server told us. Our server was great!!! They recommended a great wine for our meal and was extremely knowledgable of the menu. We had duck and lamb, both were incredible along with a deliciuous ice cream... More

This restaurant does have nice decoration and the menu looks decent. However, they have very average foods. The soup of the day tastes like it is from a can. The grilled duck has 4 very think pieces of duck. The main dishes are all very generic and average. The only thing I like is the floating island dessert. There is... More

I visited on an weekday evening, I expected this will be a fine gourmet restaurant,At that moment ,the restaurant was 70 % full, the service was very courteous, but the kitchen was very slow , a 3 course meal last for 2 and a half hours , wine list is good and fair in value.,food presentation is good in general,... Chez Leveque is one of about a half-dozen restaurants open on Christmas Day throughout Montreal. This is the second time we have visited on Christmas, and as impressed as we were from last year's visit, this year was even better. The place was hopping busy when we arrived and we had to wait 35 minutes for a table in spite... More

We chose this venue for an evening dinner with friends on a saturday evening. We were promptly seated upon arrival despite what seemed to be a busy night but our table was on the second floor in a corridor with a steady traffic stream of waiters with large service trays trying to avoid our chairs. The menu is brasserie style and offers... The food is nothing short of spectacular. Unfortunately we were very crowded where we sat. And it was very warm. But the food service more than made up for it. It is also not inexpensive! Perfectly cooked tenderloin, local raclette cheese, fresh mushrooms. Delicious!

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
