This restaurant is an institution in Montreal, has been open since 1975. Heven't been for many years so went back this week and OMG was not disapointed. The fattouche salad is the best in town, the babaganoush also, the grilled meats were done to perfection. You Will love this food if your are an amateur of oriental food.

I have allergies and the waiter didn't seemed to care at all about it. He was keeping recommending me plates that I couldn't have. He was not being attentive and brought us the wrong plates. Terrible. However, the food was very good.

Daou has become my favourite Lebanese restaurent. The food is authentic and made fresh daily. In addition to being incredibly tasty and satisfying, the service is top quality. I recommend Daou to anyone that enjoys a variety of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes!

I've been going here for years, it's a great place for a low-key dinner. Food is consistently excellent and the staff are very friendly. Atmosphere is lacking though.

I really liked the food at this restaurant. The service was great too. I do agree that this was a little bit pricey though.

Went for a Sunday lunch, restaurant was not busy. Ordered the usual Lebanese fare, food was served fresh and hot. Service was excellent. The only disappointment was the bill.

The best Lebanese food of the town, highly recommended to the middle east food lovers. Fresh food, homemade. As a fact it's the Favorite Restaurant of Céline Dion and her husband.

Staying in Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension

Neighbourhood Profile
Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension
The most ethnically diverse of all of Montreal's neighbourhoods, Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension (or, Parc-Ex) stands at the city's centre, a hub for rail and metro traffic. Starting at the old station where the Canadian Pacific used to disembark, the brick-and-mortar surroundings of Parc-Ex have a homey feel, with leafy lawns and bicycle lanes seamlessly incorporated into the landscape. With prominent Greek and Spanish communities, Greektown includes the tastiest stops for brochettes and shawarma, and local bars entertain an excitable soccer fanbase. Jerry Park and Stade Uniprix stand ready for sports diehards to enjoy a game, while the the Complexe Environnemental Saint-Michel and Le Taz skate parks invite athletes to train and compete. Though built for the active and best by day, Cirque du Soleil, the TOHU center for arts, and the Le Boulevard shopping centre offer diversions for those who wish to stay late.
