This is an Asian fusion restaurant amidst many other restaurants in the Latin Quarter, on St. Denis Street. The interior is quite attractive and comfortable, with good window views. We ordered two Asian-oriented meals consisting of lots of vegetables and some meat. The saucing wasn't Chinese (but the vegetables and meat were like typical Chinese fare), but had a kind... More

Warm interior with pink velour seating, friendly staff. A simple lunch menu. I chose a soup with seafood, chicken, and lots of vegetables. It was delicious and just right for a cold winter's day. Lots of room, and frequented by working adults, not the students.

We got here by accident because we planned to go to an Indian restaurant nearby. The Indian restaurant New Moon looked really bad, so we choose this restaurant in the neighbourhood before going to the Jazz Festival. We brought our own red wine. The service was ok, but the atmosphere was a bit lame. The Chicken Red Curry and the... More

I have eaten here a few times and it was fine. Not the case this time. I had the "chef's choice" sushi and it was lousy. They should have called it the "clean out the fridge special". The maki sushi had cooked morsels of salmon that had a strong odor and was mixed with a very spicy mayonaise. It seemed... More

The restaurant is simply awesome. Cozy atmosphere, quick service, awesome food, too awesome for the price! Great location ^^ Tip: if you're the kind that has hors d'oeuvre and then the main dish, order the hors d'oeuvre separately; after you're finished, order the main dish. I've been there twice, and twice they didn't bring my hors d'oeuvre. They didn't charge... More

This restaurant on St Dennis looks hip and cool, but the food is anything but. We opted for this "fine dining" establishment rather than a take-out sushi joint, very deceiving. The service was crap, the wine was crap, and the sushi - CRAP! The only thing good about this place was the price, but for the quality of food, I... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
