Kanda is a good restaurant to discover sushi but not the best. The price is ok. The buffet is a good way to try different kind of sushis.

During a 5 day visit in Montreal we visited this restaurant twice. From Monday to Thursday we were able to pick on an unlimited basis from two very extensive menus for C$ 24.49. Well, the choice was unbelievable and simply DELICIOUS. We had various sushi, tempura etc etc with some Jasmine tea and ice cream afterward. I would wholeheartedly recommend... More

All bites were bland, and in a blind taste test it would have been impossible to distinguish the california roll, from the kamikaze, from the spicy salmon, etc. A huge waste of money.

Kanda serve all you can eat menu for lunch priced at $14.99 without tax and tips. Very good sushi . They have the Kanda dish excellent. Also the General Tao is superb. Make sure you don't order more than you can eat or you pay for extra food left behind. I guess its a good way to control greedy people... More

If you go to this place, it is to eat and shut up. Not for business at all. The service is a disaster, no smile, no nodding, npthing, just blank faces. If you are the first time at hus restaurant you will not understand what to do like my colleague. The good thing is that you eat until super full... More

Good, quality sashimi, sushi, and dishes for lunch. Even with a couple beers it is inexpensive. And a cozy, fun atmosphere!

When this restaurant was starting it was pretty good -even very good....but with chain expansion & popularity some of the quality has faded. The one in the West Island is perhaps still the best but haven't been recently.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
