Nine of us had dinner here on Thursday night and we all agreed Le Pagase was a lovely place to celebrate the U.S. Thanksgiving. The restaurant is small and cozy, but the tables do not seem to be too close together so you feel like you are sitting on top of the other guests. The noise level was never so... More

We went to Pegase for our U.S. Thanksgiving with our multigenerational family from Berkeley, Chicago, and Montpelier. The food was excellent, the owner and servers incredibly friendly and sociable. We had a great time.

We loved our anniversary dinner at Le Pegase. the atmosphere was most intimate, as the restaurant is a converted apartment. Our appetizers were the rabbit terrine and goat cheese profiteroles, both meticulously prepared and exquisite. The doe was excellent, crispy on the outside yet melted in the mouth. The bison was crispy and more chewy, but an excellent cut of... More

I love this restaurant! I live in Montreal and it's one of my favourite places for special occasions. It feels like a friend's house, really cosy and warm. The food is delicious with very special flavours and they change the menu often, so there's always new surprises (My favourite is the horse tartare) And to make it even better you... More

We visited on a Friday night. It was packed by 6pm so reservations are a must. On the street, it is easy to miss this restaurant but we were lucky our taxi driver had been there before. We opted for the table gourmande which includes soup or salad, appetizer, main, dessert and coffee. The price was unbelievable for this quality... More

Le Pegase is a great little, quaint, intimate restaurant with excellent service & food. Parking was difficult to find but worth the trouble. Our party dined on foie gras, bavette de boeuf & filet de veau with rognons. Everything was spectacular! We definitely recommend & return!

I have been living in the city for more than a year now, and I had the occasion to try many BYOB restaurants, this is for sure my favourite. I discovered Le Pégase approximately 10 months ago and I went back there really often since. The food is just amazing, it's a small place so it's really intimate, the service... More

We had such a wonderful meal with friends. Everything we ordered was fabulous. We recommend the bison, rack of lamb, topped off with the Death by Chocolate dessert. Bring your own wine and be prepared for a wonderful dining experience.

You might miss this place if you're not careful as it just looks like another house in the neighborhood - and to miss is would be a huge mistake! Incredible from start to finish (and don't forget to bring your own bottle of wine, btw), from the Goat Cheese Profiteroles to the Death by Chocolate (yet we're still alive!). A... More

This fabulous restaurant that I have gone to several times, does not stop to surprise. Their gourmet meal includes 4 servings (soup or salad, appetizer, main dish, desert and hot beverage). This French fine cuisine is creative and offers delicious food. It is located in the first floor of a house in the trendy mile end and the ambiance and... More

Located in the heart of the Plateau for 25 years, Le Pégase is renowned for its fine French cuisine and a selection of meats cooked to perfection. You can bring your own wine, so ... be your own sommelier and select your favorite bottles! The decor and atmosphere are welcoming and friendly. A romantic evening between lovers or a convivial moment for friends conjugate there perfectly.--In the kitchenThe owner-chef Michael Audet-Laparé is illustrated in many restaurants (Chez Victoire, Le Quartier General, Laurie-Raphaël, Grenadine) before investing in command of Le Pégase. Assisted by Jean-Luc Peyrotes, he applies, every day, to work fine seasonal ingredients on the well-kept cooking and to express his taste for the culinary innovation and the marriages of flavors. In the dining-roomDamien Haennel, associated owner, orchestrates the service and its rhythm with a lightness tinged with twenty years of experience in catering. A good mood and a professionalism which favors the friendly reception of our duet of waiters, Johann and Morgane.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
