I keep trying other indian restaurants in Montreal, but always compare them to Malhi and they don't even come close....

I've been to this restaurant for the last 15 years, ordering the same exact thing all the time, butter chicken with a nahn bread. The best, period. I've triep dozen of butter chikens everywhere i go, no matter what, i always come back to Malhi.

We like to come here with our toddler, as they accept to modify some items of their menu. Food is good and authentic, although like many restaurants, it's very salty. Service is correct, and the place is nice: typical Indian decorations with Indian movies playing on TV!

Excellent food, and for the price you can eat a lot here. If you are tired of Montreal Smoked meet and just want to try something different get the saag paneer or the butter chicken and Naan you won't go wrong

First off, who cares Catherine Deneuve and Leelee Sobieski came here? Well I guess the owners still do. I'm pretty sure restaurants power to attract new diners is based on their food and not their past glory days... I have come here 3 times now and twice my girlfriend has come home vomiting her food, not because of a disease... More

This is another of the pretty good Indian restaurants on Jarry St. The decor kinda sucks and seriously I much rather take out than dine in - but the food is well done and that's what is important. The biriany with chicken is a great complement to Saag Paneer or to Tikka Masala. Try a bunch of stuff it's crazy... More

Staying in Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension

Neighbourhood Profile
Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension
The most ethnically diverse of all of Montreal's neighbourhoods, Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension (or, Parc-Ex) stands at the city's centre, a hub for rail and metro traffic. Starting at the old station where the Canadian Pacific used to disembark, the brick-and-mortar surroundings of Parc-Ex have a homey feel, with leafy lawns and bicycle lanes seamlessly incorporated into the landscape. With prominent Greek and Spanish communities, Greektown includes the tastiest stops for brochettes and shawarma, and local bars entertain an excitable soccer fanbase. Jerry Park and Stade Uniprix stand ready for sports diehards to enjoy a game, while the the Complexe Environnemental Saint-Michel and Le Taz skate parks invite athletes to train and compete. Though built for the active and best by day, Cirque du Soleil, the TOHU center for arts, and the Le Boulevard shopping centre offer diversions for those who wish to stay late.
