I spotted this place on my first night in a Montreal and I am sorry that I didn't get here sooner. It's a fabulous Italian restaurant over 2 floors and with outside seating -it's pretty big and must easily sit 400 plus people. The ground floor was pretty busy -and quite lively -when I arrived. The young lady at the... More

If in Montreal, you really need to check out this restaurant. Excellent food, great wines, a "feeling-at-home" atmosphere, not too expensive.

The place was full yet with a small delay we were able to get a nice table. We had the Chicken parm, pizza and pasta dishes. Portions are generous, and the food is amazing. There was some type of grad party going on so it was pretty busy upstairs. We had the pleasure of being served by Catherine who did... More

At first we did not like the table they took us to. They took very good care of us with another table without fuss. Service was very good and the taste of the food served was excellent.

Usually with corporate events in large groups the dinners are average but this one allowed for choices. The steak was great, salad was good, and dessert was good. the place is massive and could hold multiple functions. Service was good. Can't comment on prices as it was provided to us. would visit on my own if presented the option. great... More

Of course it's all about ambience so I recommend wienstein and gavino for the bar scene including a couple or after work drink with friends. I think it suits dinner with a group best because it's big. There are many dining areas and we were treated so nicely even though we dallied over the menu while enjoying the company and... More

Stopped in for a late lunch after a bit of sight seeing and got seated by the open window on the top floor. The advertised $10 Pizza and Pasta deal turned out to be limited to just a few pizzas, and a few of the sauces, so we didn't bother with it and just ordered two pastas and a pizza... More

Ate here once and had great Cesar salad with grilled chicken, Went back again with a friend and had a huge pitcher of sangria and pasta with shrimp. Both meals were great. I love the decor, the waiters were great. The food is priced well. I really would recommend. :D

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
