What a nice dinner in the plateau to have a good ''fat and greasy'' brunch (healthy options also on the menu of course). Open since 1942 this place has an history and you are still welcome by the owner of the place a short and sweet man really friendly. The place is small so be sure that you will be... More

Wonderful fresh ingredients make for a tasty breakfast. Great lattes, good coffee. Beauty's breakfast always score a winner.

We had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated, but the food (I got the apple cinnamon pancakes, my friend the plain waffle with home fries) was really good, although you had to pay extra for maple syrup instead of table syrup. We were rushed through our meal though, because quite a long queue had accumulated outside.

I would definitely recommend this quaint little restaurant. The owner has been around for so very long and he still seats people. Food is always good. Love their bagels.

Terrible experience in this 'reknown' restaurant. very disapointing, no coffee refills, rushed out of the place. the food was mediocre, no salt on potatoes, you have to buy everything seprate. ridiculously overpriced for almost every item. oh and beware vegetarians, you cant even get tomatoes instead of bacon. hated my experience and im very disapointed this sits as an 'icon'... Old school dinner in Montreal. During prime hours there will be a bit of a wait to be seated. Very good though and I would return over and over again. Good size portions.

A nice breakfast diner. The breakfast dishes are generous and the service is great. The dishes are simple in presentation, but the food is fresh. It isn't a trendy place, it is a landmark. I recommend for the food and the friendly staff.

My daughter goes to McGill and lives on the hipster Plateau, and she swears by Beauty's. Was it the best breakfast ever? No, but dang, it was really good. The food is excellent, the staff friendly, and the space charming. Lots of good places to eat in this neighborhood, but the lines to Beauty's show you it's pretty hard to... More

A native told me to go here for brunch. It was really interesting and the food was great. It was not the best weather and there was a line to get in. It was worth it. This is not a touristy spot.

It was not good. Portion of beauty special 2 was large and I didn't like it. It was expensive as well.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
