I visited this bar with my mother who is a lover of sparkling wine but by no means a connoisseur. When we asked for a glass of sparkling wine or prosecco the waiter turned his nose up at us and said that they only serve champagne. We settled for two glasses of their cheapest champagne - a small was absolutely tiny... I have been coming to Pullman on Parc for seven years now. Initially it was for wine and small plates, but now it is as much for the competent and friendly staff. Their wines, leaning heavily to French, are a delightful selection that are well paired to their menu. This is particularly appealing as I live in wine country in... More

I've always wanted to go to Pullman and I'm so glad I did! Only thing I failed to do was make a reservation (highly recommend it!). Note that if you are coming in for a drink, you must order food (it's their policy). There are plenty of creative and delicious small plates to choose from! the wine list is fantastic,... More

My husband and I visited the Pullman Wine Bar on the evening of March 18. I thought it strange that you have to enter the restaurant through some plastic panels. We were immediately seated upstairs and, although there were some empty tables, we ended up sitting in between two other tables with couples. The tables were so close together that... More

After a concert at Centre Bell, my wife and I made our way over to The Pullman for a light night dinner and some wine. The Som decanted a young wine for us while we looked over the menu. Separated into sections of small bites, it was hard to choose, it we finally settled ourselves down for the charcuterie plate,... More

Pullman has good food and a large wine selection. Although not cheap in any way, the food is impressive. It's tapas, but certain items on the menu like their tartar and the braised Lamb I believe it is, is quite large and filling in its own way. Decor is contemporary and stands out from other places. They tried something different... More

This atmospheric little wine bar on Ave du Parc, just up from Rue Sherbrooke was recommended by those-in-the-know as THE hip and happening wine bar in Downtown Montreal. Not sure about that, but it did not disappoint. The bar is easy to miss…. look for the single black door and a chandelier of wine glasses, only noticeable in the dark!... More

Well , just to help those who accompany their friends to a wine bar .. but can't drink wine: As has been noted , this place has great ambiance and a warm and knowledgeable staff. The tapas offerings are very unique, each with wonderful flavors and textures. I ordered a Coke and it was from a can and ice cold.... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
