I used to go there often, not for their menu but for the "pain perdu". The restaurant looks great (although the bathrooms are not very clean) and it has a perfect location but the tapas are overpriced (45 CAD for one tapa, one glass of wine and one desert!!!). However, I went back few times and brought friends because their... More

Dinner was reasonably priced, delicious and original. The service was excellent as well. We had the scallops, poutine, lambsliders and a few others i cant recall. Bonus: the restaurant is in a very happening area

It's a different experience. It was my second time there. There was only one waiter and we had to get up to get our own water. Very short and expensive red wine list, the cheapest is 42$. The tuna tataki has no taste and no sauce and is only three tiny pieces of non tataki fish. No sauce and nothing... More

My friend chose this restaurant based on someone's recommendation. We didn't know what to expect. The waiter, realising our French was not the best, switched into perfect English and explained everything to us. He made recommendations and told us to ask any questions we might have. We picked the tapas dinner for two for $99. It was the best choice!... More

My girlfriend and I chose Confusion for our last meal in Montreal before we left the following morning. It was a great choice as the atmosphere was a perfect fit for a couples night out. George our waiter was excellent and had great input on what to eat/drink. My girlfriend went as far to say that it was the best... More

We were here yesterday and had a wonderful dinner. We expected little portions, just like spanish tapas, but they were really bigger than we thought and excellent. We had a tasting dinner from 35 CAD per person and added two glasses of wine. 5-6 different tapas, all perfect!!! A particular mention goes to Axel, our exquisite waiter. Kind, at our... More

What a nice surprise, this place! The staff was friendly, efficient and all smiles! Food was amazin', with a special mention for the tuna tataki and the squid! Was happy to see that we could order a half-bottle of wine, and the waiter didn't make us feel bad about it! Un bémol, cependant, la terrasse gagnerait à avoir un auvent... More

We had a number of tapas, all of which were excellent. Of note was the dessert - we had the lava cake and the French toast and best food hands down. Too bad we're only here a few days or I'd return this trip.

Really, the best octopus I've ever had anywhere by far, and all the other dishes were very good in comparison to traditional Spanish tapas even though this restaurant, or because this one, has a more widely international flair. Worth visiting. p.s. it's below street level under the brown awning - hard to find on Rue St. Denis

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
