Visited this place often as it's close to my workplace. Food is fresh and served quick and efficiently.

This place is one of our favourites among my coworkers to get take out and also to sit in. It will always be busy at lunch. One of our favourite lunch specials is E8 (Pho with rare beef and two spring rolls). You can also get extra meat for $2.00. Another dish is E2 or E3 which is a dish... More

The food was great delicious. Lots of choices but best buy are the combos. You get a soup, meal, dessert and tea or coffee. The dessert on that night was bubble tea and it was very tasty. the plates are big and worth the $. friendly staff and the resto is right in the heart of park ex. There is... More

Montreal has many great Vietnamese restaurants however it seemms that the ones that are small and barelly noticeable serve the best food. Lyla isone of these. It has excellent choice of dishes too suit even the most difficult of tastes (read: young children). One important element, they do not seem to use any MSG (or very little of it) in... More

We learned about Lyla from a Vietnamese manicurist many years ago. My husband says he has never seen another Caucausian there. It's the real thing! I have to admit that, as many times as we have ordered food from there, it is always the pho bac, the traditional peasant soup. When you get it as take-out, as we do, they... More

I've been around in many vietnamese restaurants, and Lyla is one of my favorite to bring caucasian friends because it's clean, nice looking and there are many choices for everyone. From somehting really special to something really basic, the food is quite good and I'm really impressed with their dishes. It tastes like real Vietnamese food and not some American-Vietnamese... Staying in Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension

Neighbourhood Profile
The most ethnically diverse of all of Montreal's neighbourhoods, Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension (or, Parc-Ex) stands at the city's centre, a hub for rail and metro traffic. Starting at the old station where the Canadian Pacific used to disembark, the brick-and-mortar surroundings of Parc-Ex have a homey feel, with leafy lawns and bicycle lanes seamlessly incorporated into the landscape. With prominent Greek and Spanish communities, Greektown includes the tastiest stops for brochettes and shawarma, and local bars entertain an excitable soccer fanbase. Jerry Park and Stade Uniprix stand ready for sports diehards to enjoy a game, while the the Complexe Environnemental Saint-Michel and Le Taz skate parks invite athletes to train and compete. Though built for the active and best by day, Cirque du Soleil, the TOHU center for arts, and the Le Boulevard shopping centre offer diversions for those who wish to stay late.
