I have had several lunches here and they were great. Went for dinner this time with a friend who is a true foodie. I started with the house smoked salmon and it was delicious. Had a Veal Chop for my main course and it was perfectly prepared to MR. Tender and moist and very flavorful. Finished with an excellent coffee.... More

If you want to eat european style ,late at night , for a reasonable price and treat yourself to fine cuisine ,look no further , Lemeac is the best 10:00 PM supper restaurant in La Grande Ville . All that at a price that home cooking cannot rival . Do try this place !

Lemeac use to be a library (almost an institution !). Years ago, it has transformed gracefully into a fine French restaurant. It is located in Outremont, right next to Avenue du Parc. You could easily dine for a whole week in that area without ever going to the same place twice. Montreal is full of good restaurants (and has a... More

Fine cuisine. Their beef tartare is highly recommended if you like raw meat. While it's expensive in normal hours as you would expect from a restaurant of that standing, their prices drop at 10 pm! They offer a late night menu for the price of a casual dinner and you get the royal treat still! Be smart and have an... More

Great food and service. Restaurant was busy for Easter weekend so it took 45min to get the food. However the waitress had informed us of the delay very professionally (all meats are cooked when ordered, no pre-cooking done). All in all great night for the entire family

Bisto/Brasserie style, French inspired food. Probably one of the best restaurants I've been too. Service is great, food is very tasty and yummy. It's a pricey place but good value for money. Try it, any occasion is a good one.

Came here couple years ago for Sunday brunch, now for the dinner special after 10pm. Two course dinner with tea or coffee for 27$. The portion is same as regular price. Service is great and food, the best duck leg and Cornish hen I ever have. Ordered Calamari and fish cake as appetizers as well. Saw someone ordered mussels and... More

Staying in Outremont

Neighbourhood Profile
Outremont
Outremont, a quaint residential district just north of Downtown, is a peaceful, low-key setting known for its mod cafes and bistros, and some of the best walking territory Montreal has to offer. Visitors can explore the flowering parks and manor estates of Maplewood Street, then window-shop the popular bakeries and coffeehouses on main arteries of Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Rue Van Horne. The modern granola feel is complemented by contemporary art exhibitions, rotating theatre productions, and a welcoming public library. Also a nexus for the city's Hasidic Jewish culture, Outremont's diversity resounds in its cuisine and in its architecture. Visit the colorful neighbourhood to take advantage of boutique shopping on Avenue Laurier, or to test the artisanal flavors of Avenue Bernard, braving a salmon burger on a squid-ink bun or accommodating your sweet tooth with a provincial chômeur pudding. A visit to Outremont is a relaxing day.
