We were there for a romantic dinner. Food was excellent and the selection was fantastic. I had lobster tails with risotto and vegetables and my wife had veal cheek with noodles. Excellent.

The waiter took 20 + mins to take our wine order and each time the wait staff kept coming back and talking to us in French when we would speaking in English...that is when they would come to our table. At least the food was good.

If you are on the west island you need just travel to the edge in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue. Le Surcouf is one of the most outstanding restaurants in Montreal. It is a century home that is a 5 star French restaurant. I have been many times and in particular love the rack of lamb or the flank steak. The best is to... More

Le Surcouf is a little gem for the connaisseurs. Liked the atmosphere and the service. Welcoming and very attentive. We had the bistro menu. Excellent food, reasonable price. For $27 per person, we had soup, main and dessert( less elaborated than the meal). We will try the other options from the menu next time.

have not been to le surcouf for many many years because it is about an hour from where we live........we have been wrong! Went for lunch on an incredibly beautiful fall day with good friends and were reminded just how good this restaurant is, perhaps one of the very best in the montreal area. Three of us had the lunch... More

Recommended to me by a local whom considers this one of his favorite places for French food. Previously a home in a quaint neighborhood setting with narrow streets and waterfront views makes for a relaxed and comfortable environment. The menu was exactly what I was looking for: a mix of traditional and contemporary French cuisine with extensive wine list. I... More

Great French restaurant in an old house. Excellent classic menu, and the food did not disappoint! Steak Tartar, Chateaubriand, Foie gras. All the classics well prepared & served. Decent wine list

My son and nephew gave us a 5 course certificate for a gift at this restaurant situated in Ste-Anne de Bellevue, at the far west end on the island of Montreal. Please, take the detour and go, this little town is beautiful, and the old house where the restaurant is, is simply wonderful. The food starting with the cold soup,... More

We went for dinner on a thurday night a took advantage of the Bistro Menu. The cold soup was creamy and refreshing! The main course: beef brochette was very tender and tasty! The desert: rasberry tart with " crème anglaise" was succulent! Can't wait to go back!

Thank Edith B
