Such a lovely restaurant in old Quebec. We just happened to pop in and are very happy about that. Service was pretty fast (even thou the place was super full) and food excellent. The best poutine I ate during our whole trip!!! The burger was...More

Saw this place on "You Gotta Eat Here" and decided to try it while in QC. Outstanding burgers and a unique take on poutine! I would have given this a 4, because the poutine was not the best I've had (the gravy could be better)...More

We came here because it had a 4.4 star rating. I'm not entirely sure how they managed to score this. There were very busy and their staff were polite upon greeting us. We had to wait for a table, which is fine. When we were...More

Wow the 2.0 Poutine is to die for! I absolutely loved the pickled onions on top. What a great touch!

We enjoyed a quick lunch – fries and a burger – with a view of the park Place d’ Armes. If you look up, you will get a geometry lesson. Fast friendly service. Reasonable prices.

Truthfully we went for the poutine (which was slightly disappointing) but the lobster burger was terrific. Simply put, we're only rating this as very good because there was no wow factor that I had expected. Ordering the smoked meat poutine I found it quite odd...More

Wandering down the Rue Saint Louis in Ville de Québec, near the overview of the Saint Laurence River and the memorial topped with a statue of Samuel de Champlain, we found this idyllic restaurant. When we walked in the sky was cloudy, but little indication...More

Good place for lunch with really good burgers and milkshakes. The only downside was they ran out of bacon and smoked meat! So we couldn't have La Fumee poutine, which was disappointing. The service was friendly which helps because there is a line. Still think...More

Description
Le Chic Shack is a new gourmet burger/milk shake restaurant opened in June 2012. We also serve poutines, fries and salads. For dessert, we offer milk shakes and ice cream sandwiches. The owners of Le Chic Shack are the sister-brother team of Lucy and Evan Price. They are also owners of the renowned Auberge Saint-Antoine and Panache restaurant in Quebec City. Located in a historic building owned by their family for five decades, Le Chic Shack reflects their culinary and interior design expertise. In creating their new restaurant, Lucy and Evan worked closely with their management team and Chef Mikael Garneau, previously of Panache, The Culinary Edge of San Francisco (California) and their local supplier base.Beyond our tasty recipes, these are some features that make Le Chic Shack stand out:* brioche buns made by local artisan baker Borderon et fils * sweet potato fries (along with fries from white potatoes)* uniquely built poutines - from side to main course dishes* milk shakes and ice cream sandwiches made with old fashioned coaticook ice cream * our own fruit sodas and ice tea* draft beer from the local Archibald brewery* draft wine selected by the sommelier of the Panache restaurant* the dynamism and energy of an open kitchen* a relaxed dining environment with tremendous views of the Chateau Frontenac through large French windowsLe Chic Shack is located on the Place d'Armes in the Vieux-Quebec (Old Quebec), facing the Chateau Frontenac and below the Musee du Fort.
