We had worked our way down from the Grand Allee just as a large black could loomed ahead. We were targetting the Hobbit, based on our landlord's recommendation, and made it through the door just as the skies opened up. We both ordered French Onion soup made with beer and maple syrup, and followed with excellent burgers on wonderful toasted... More

I showed up when it was quite busy, but managed to get a spot at the bar counter. Unfortunately, I was not able to sample any drinks as I had an important event the next day, but the food was pretty good. I had the trout with tartar sauce (served sort of sushi style so it is uncooked), but arrived... More

Nicely decorated and very popular restaurant for the Sunday brunch. The food on offer is freshly prepared and reasonably priced. Given the large number of customers that this restaurant attracts , it was understaffed and a line of people was waiting outside while tables were free but there was no one free to clean them and prepare them for the... Great food and ambiance of the restaurant. I visited mid-afternoon and ordered the beef burger which came with salad and fries. All was delicious. It was $16, which isn't bad for the location. Although the dinner menu is pricier, as most restaurants in Quebec City. Next time I will try dessert!

Title says it all, the absolute best eggs benedict I've had. Very clean little restaurant with great service. Everyone greatly enjoyed their breakfast, definitely a must try when visiting Québec city!

I had the Duo Canard and Onion Soup and must say that it is one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Everything was perfectly prepared! Service was exceptional! Beautifully decorated restaurant! If you're looking for something unique, you need to try this restaurant!

We ate breakfast here twice, because we liked it so much. It is small, clean and elegant. Would definitely go back should we return to Quebec someday.

We were referred to this restaurant by our hotel and we were not disappointed. We went there for lunch and had the layered grilled vegetable and quinoa dish which was fantastic. Our waiter was very friendly and when he found out we didn't speak french promptly gave us an english menu. Our experience was very nice and we would definitely... More

Our concierge highly recommended that we go outside the wall and try some true Quebec/Canadian food at Le Hobbit and we are glad that we braved the sub zero temps To discover this little gem. My husband had the bison and enjoyed it thoroughly. I had a flavorful lentil ham pilaf topped with a delicious duck filet And a duck... More

By far the best meal we had in Quebec City during our visit. The service was fantastic and the staff incredibly friendly. The menu has a wonderful assortment of farm to table dishes and lots of locally sourced ingredients. The price was very reasonable and the atmosphere is great!
