We were staying up the hill at the Hilton and wanted something close by. An easy walk (lots of hills) but went past numerous other places, and started to question my choice. However once we arrived and saw the decor, as well as the location and menu I was pleased. Small, quaint location made this an intimate meal of sorts.... More

We had the good fortune of stumbling upon this gem on our way to the music festival. The beer and wine selection was lovely, and our waiter was knowledgeable and efficient. The Farmers Salad was unique and excellent. My partner is an onion soup fanatic, and he rated theirs as "one of the best" he has ever had. The Charcuterie... More

I went to this very well located little restaurant for a quick bite to eat, and wasn't at all disappointed with my two eggs Benedict Florentine with goat cheese. They came with 2 perfectly toasted english muffins and freshly made rostis, as well as with some sliced fruit. And I was quite impressed that there was a choice of real... More

Went for dinner and loved it so much went back the next day for lunch. Great food and service and short walk from old city. May go again before we leave.

We had three meals here. The food is just incredible. The bowls of coffee are perfect. Very few tourists, mostly just locals but just outside the old town. The people watching was great. Most of the restaurant has views to the interesting street. All the servers we had wanted to please. They went above and beyond to make sure our... More

Excellent hot breakfasts with great service and non-exorbitant prices. Our regular place to have hot breakfast before a long day of sight-seeing. Only had dinner here once, which was acceptable. Probably jaded by us managing to arrive and order at the same time as everyone else in the restaurant (very long wait!)

We were there in early July and popped in for breakfast before starting our site-seeing day. My wife had the house omelet and enjoyed it a lot. I had the "Healthy Breakfast" which was yogurt, granola, fruits and a sort of banana bread. All were very good and we'd return.

A cute place with good food. The seafood risotto was delicious! Have the carrot cake for dessert, it is the BEST carrot cake I have ever had!

While staying in quebec we discovered this little gem in the old city. It was only 5 minutes from our hotel so we eat there for breakfast. The staff are very friendly and efficient andnour breakfasts were beautifully presented. Well worth a visit.

The Hobbit was recommended by the concierge at the Hilton. What a find! As my husband said "the best advice ever from a concierge"!! A short walk from the hotel, reasonable price, nice atmosphere, quiet table, excellent service and food beyond compare. I had the filet, while my husband had the rake of lamb - clean plates all the way... More
