As it turns out I guess I am not that big a fan of fondue. This is mostly what this place is all about so don’t go if that’s not what you are looking for. Service was pretty good. No bourbon, not even Jack Daniels so I settled for a gin on the “rocks” which consisted of two ice cubes!... More

Very happy with food, service, portions, price. Wine was a little pricey but typical for a restaurant, just would like a 100% markup not 200%.

Time of Visit: Dinner on August 19th Order: Crab and pear appetizer, Four Cheese fondue, Blue Cheese fondue (this was also a mixture of 4 cheese but all a type of "blue" cheese), and the Chocolate fondue Pros: Best fondue I have ever eaten, wait staff Cons: A little on the expensive side, minimal selection of desert fondues Thoughts: To... We went at La Tyrolienne for dinner with family. First, the interior of the restaurant merits a 5 stars. We really felt like if we were in Switzwerland, or surrounding regions (Northern Italy, French Alps, or Western Austria). Very pleasant to spend time there. Having said that, you need to know that the food is good, but not more. We... More

I have been to this restaurant more than 30 times over the last 10 years. The ambiance is fantastic, the service is professional, yet warm, and the food is delicious. I like to get the "Table d'Hôte" called "La Tyrolienne". Not only do I recommend it, you might even see me there sometime because I will definitely be back! :o)

My partner and I spent our last dinner in Quebec City together in Tyrolienne, which was not too far from our hotel. The restaurant was in a house tucked away from garish lights of Boulevard Laurier, and the interior was quaintly decorated with bells reminiscent of my travels to Switzerland last year. The menu offering were predominantly fondue of various... More

Loved everything about this place. It has great character with unique decorations, as well as a strolling accordion player. We had the Fondue platters for the family, and had quite the feast. Way more food than we could eat between the 4 of us, and it was really delicious. The one thing with fondue, though, is that it takes a... More

I went here with a whole side of my family when visitng Quebec. The reastaurant itself has a terrific atmosphere, down to the wooden panneling and the very Swiss-German decorations. I had the French Onion Soup to begin which was excellent, having lots of cheese on top (just the way I like it). It was also a good sized portion,... More
