Amazing meal at the Chateau Frontenac's Champlain restaurant. We were greeted with a refreshing glass of sparkling wine. We ordered the Chef's menu. The restaurant was accommodating - we were able to change the foie gras to something else. The chicken terrine amuse-bouche was delicious (not part of the chef's menu). The wall-eye tataki was unexpectedly delectable. The ginger lavender... More

Great dinner. Attentive waiter staff and very accommodating waiter. I had the fish - wallyeyed pike that was perfectly prepared and tasty. Wife had the filet of beef, best she has had in recent years. Nice table and view. Have your picture taken with the polar bear outside the restaurant entrance.

We were somewhat late with our reservations, regardless they were able to accommodate us, and put us in the area that provide beautiful views of the water. We felt that the service and food were both better than we had expected! It was a treat to enjoy such a memorable experience for our anniversary!!

This was the most expensive meal we've ever had -- and it was worth it. The atmosphere is elegant. Our waiter was very courteous and attentive without being high-brow. The salads were creative and very fresh. For entrees - my wife had duck and I had filet mignon and both were excellent. Desserts were also exceptional. Save up for a... More

Had been to this restaurant many decades ago. It had a clearly British tone in the Fifties- the first place I tasted Yorkshire Pudding! Over the years, it has found its more authentic French identity. Meals there are always memorable, this year proved no exception. The evening's Special began with a triple appetizer; Pate, fish, and duck. Almost filled, before... More

I just went today with family members for Sunday brunch. I have to say that the food is not bad however at 60$ per person, I would expect to have a bit more choice. Service is good however what made me really angry was that I was charged for 90$ for 6 mimosas. I have been to many many Sunday... More

We came here for the brunch, which was pricey, but was worth it, just for the view and the quality of the food. It will be out of some people's price ranges, but worth the splurge to spend some time in the iconic building, especially for those that won't sleep here. Probably better to reserve ahead for busy times.

Had dinner with a group of friends, The menu is relatively small with many modern twists on french and american classics. All of the meals were excellent and the service is superb. The wine list is larger than the phone book in most cities.

Having dinner at this highly rated restaurant was worth the recommendation and it did not disappoint in the least. We were welcomed warmly and escort thru the beautifully designed restaurant to be seated by the window overlooking the Dufferin. After a very nice introduction by the waiter we asked for a nice red blend which he brought and it was... More
