This was our (2 couples) best dinning experience of 3 nights in Old Quebec & was a short walk from our hotel (Frontenac); Table side service by our waiter Dennis, was impeccable and the food was superb, as was the wine.

Went to the Continental for dinner last week. The food was good, we shared the Caesar salad and duck. Both were made at tableside. The restaurant is loud and the wait staff appear disinterested. After other dining experiences in Quebec City, I was disappointed.

We order the Duck l'orange and it was a flambe table side dish. The waiter and other staff were very friendly and professional. The food and ambiance were definitely the highlights of the meal with the duck being the best I have ever had!

Le Continental is the place for that special dinner, admittedly it can be expensive, however the menu of the day is very reasonably priced - appetiser, soup, entrée, sweet and coffee for $64pp. We had this menu and were fully satisfied with the excellent quality...More

This restaurant is an experience worth having. With the exception of a careless, carefree busboy (who was regularly scolded by other members of the staff and I doubt will last), the service was impeccable and entertaining while not being overly stuffy despite the classic nature...More

Sorry for the delay in responding. No, jackets were not required. There were also some guests who were quite casual.

Trip advisor lists it as vegetarian friendly. What vegetarian options are on the menu? I eat dairy and eggs but no beef chicken or fish.

There is a fantastic chain of vegetarian restaurants in Quebec called Le Commensal. It would be much less expensive alternative to Le Continental. Not as plush but if you're concerned about where your food comes from... More
