This is our second trip to Quebec City and second time we've been to Le Continental. If you like an old school Dinning experience you have to go. I've lived in New Orleans, LA and NYC for the majority of my life. This restaurant is on par with all the top restaurants of those cities. To start, the wait staff... More

What a treat this meal was. Though the restaurant t was busy we still received wonderful care and attention from all the staff members. We enjoyed observing others around us and the table side flames was very entertaining. Had a great glass of wine (cosmos was not one of the best, way too red), Caesar salad for two tossed by... It was our great fortune to stumble upon Le Continental on an evening that they were holding a 60th anniversary celebration - with prices from 60 years ago too!! Even without the obviously incredible savings we were blessed with, the food and service was absolutely exceptional! And may go without saying, but you must get a flambé if stopping in!

Yes, it is expensive, unless you remember that at the time of this entry the Canadian dollar was worth 30% less. My wife and I were seated on a snowy, late December '16 evening. The restaurant is cozy and the menu excellent. Our waiter was superb. I marveled at how he could attend to 3 tables AND serve our meals... More

Waiters and their manager are very rude, treat people like bugs, totally ruined our family Christmas dinner. They gave us 2 hours slot to finish our meal and we were fine with it because it always takes us around 2 hours or less to finish our meal because we have a 6-x years old son with us always. When we... More

We had Christmas dinner at Le Continental. It wasn't the mind blowing experience that nearly 500USD should provide a family of 5. We had dinner at 1640 the night before. The menu and food was much better at about a third of the price. I enjoy fine dining but this is a lot of pomp and circumstance without the food... More

I know this is one of QC's top restaurants, but I wasn't particularly impressed. The only thing that is impressive is the service (think 50's fine dining). Other than that ~ the tables are close together and therefore it was noisy. The food: mediocre. I had the vegetable soup as my appetizer….could have opened a can and gotten better. Had... More

We ate at five of the top-rated restaurants in Quebec City over the New Year holiday weekend. Chez Boulay and Le Clocher Penche served up tasty brunches, while iX Pour Bistro and Panache offered excellent dinners. Unfortunately our first meal, dinner at Le Continental on the night we arrived, was merely average. Le Continental’s reputation and charm relies heavily on... More
