Four of us had an early dinner at Le Lapin and all left with smiles on our faces. Our server was a delight. She was witty and helpful and frequently stopped by without being intrusive. This was good because our sangria (really good!) supply constantly...More

Lapin Sauté can be translated either as rabbit jumped or sautéed rabbit. Maybe it's the pun of the ambiguity they intended when they named the place, but they do have lots of rabbit dishes most probably for the name sake. I personally don't even entertain...More

Busy little place. Very tight seating inside and little air circulation for a warm day. Limited menu, be sure you want rabbit or duck although they also offer a grilled cheese for the less adventurous. I don't have the experience of these flavors and came...More

Food was simple and delicious. Had the rabbit casoulettte. Some side vegetables and bread would have been nice, Service was attentive, timely and friendly. In a beautiful part of town under the Hotel Fontenac. Beautiful bistro with indoor and outdoor seating.

The place is beautiful, the food is lovely and the atmosphere surrounding the area makes you want to sit and diner there. There is a kids book that helps parents with kids. The service is superb. Totally recommend.

We visited this restaurant twice during our recent visit to Quebec City. Delphina (sp?) our server was lovely and helpful. The outdoor patio has a warm and garden like atmosphere in which visiting with neighbouring tables is encouraged. We tried the foie gras, the smoked...More

We had a pleasant dinner here on the terrace. Started with a goat feta cheese dish (exceptional) and a smoked duck breast (pretty good). The rabbit cassoulet was good but the rabbit served with two different sauces was better. The raspberry pudding (i.e., cake) was...More

I went there with my family for dinner. It was very crowded when we got there. Atmosphere was extremely busy with the tables and chairs set so close to each other thus the service was done accordingly. Rabbit dishes were better than we thought but...More

Rabbit is their specialty. We ordered two of the dishes, cassoulet and rabbit with a sauce. Cassoulet was a rabbit leg in a very large bed of white beans, a little sausage, very little else, and was mostly beans in a casserole dish. The rabbit...More

Hi! We don't cook with that oil. But just to be safe, please mention your condition at your waiter and bring your Epipen (even if we have one at our restaurant) Best regards, Karine B.Poulin Restos Plaisirs

Description
The magic of the Petit-Champlain district adds to the charm of the Lapin Sauté. By day, this pedestrian street comes alive with the sounds of chatter. By night, the lighting makes shadows dance on the walls of the street's historic houses.

Dining at the Lapin Sauté is akin to walking into a warm, quaint and cozy inns from the early 20th century. There is nothing better than sitting in the comfort of this small, friendly 32-seat restaurant where you're always welcomed with open arms. During the summer, the Lapin expands to 52 seats with its outdoor terrace and patrons flock here under the warm sun. In the winter, a fire warms your heart and soul as you discover local country products made and served like nowhere else.
